Relax in our restaurant and take your pick from a menu brimming with traditional, tasty treats. This iconic building is a former 16th century coaching inn and is as comfortable and elegant today as it was in its coaching heyday. It was so well loved historically that it's where King Charles I chose to visit back in 1645, the day before the famous battle of Naseby.

Lovely hotel with nice furniture and decorations, chandeliers, lamps etc. My room was a single and almost in the attic but the bed was bigger than normal and the facilities, toiletries and tea, coffee abd biscuits were very good quality. One let down was the was the waiting staff dress code. Black waistcoats, white shirts and jeans is not a good look in such a nice restaurant.

Bathroom door looks like a dog has eaten on it. Carpet full of doghairs. Cleaners don't take of dust. Al shorts of dirty spots all over. Collega had something stolen out of her room. During breakfast there are chairs that are broken. Booked another hotel during the stay. If you complain it won't help you.

Stayed here for a few days. Arrived in the evening and ate in the restaurant. The food was very good. Staff were very accommodating and allowed me to work upstairs in the breakfast area on my laptop until they were ready to leave. My room was freezing the first night however, when I told reception late that evening they provided me with an electric heater for the evening so I was lovely and cosy.
The breakfast choices were excellent, the mushrooms were amazing. I would definitely stay here again but get a double room. My only suggestion would be to have different biscuits with no milk in the rooms

Gorgeous hotel.found our room in immaculate condition, very spacious and excellent facilities. Huge well dressed bed and lots of room for suitcases and clothes. Breakfast is all you can eat and in a very grand room upstairs. Overall very very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend. Well done and thank you to all the staff!

Nice old style hotel in the centre of town. Good parking. Room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Evening Food was OK standard pub food. Service was OK. Breakfast was buffet style would not pay for it again, half the items were missing or poorly done. However the hotel was very noisy, you could hear the people in the next room talking, but the worst thing was the function center at the hotel that had a wedding on, very noisy until 12.30am, you could hear music and everything the DJ said.
When we discussed this with reception, they said other people had complained, but it was in their terms and conditions that events might be on. If we had known we would not of booked this hotel.

We went for coffee and cake today and were very disappointed with the greeting and service provided by a man called Tim. We have visited this place a few times over the last couple of years and have been impressed with the food and the service. However the best words to describe how Tim behaved are rude and unpleasant and not at all to the standard we have come to expect from the Three Swans. Not sure that we will return with all the other excellent venues to be found in Market Harborough. That said, the coffee and cake were great.

I only went to eat at the restaurant so this review is only for that. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came basically well done, medium well at best. Wasn't given a steak knife and cutting it with a butter knife was pretty tough. Not a very good quality steak. Also ordered a couple burgers which came with the smallest portion of fries you'll ever see. Fries were served in a little metal basket which was barely filled. Looked like the chef ran out of fries.
The burger itself was over cooked with the smallest slice of cheese on top of it. Bacon was fine, and the brioche bun was a little stale. For 15 pounds I was expecting a pretty exceptional burger. Better off getting a McDonald's burger for a fraction of the price and much better taste. Starters were good though, had the hommous and Red Leicester fritters.
Wish I ordered a few portions of those and not the burger and steak. The waiters didn't ask me how the food was at any point of the meal and therefore was unwilling to give my opinion in the restaurant. If they had asked I would have said but there is clearly a lack of interest in knowing how we felt about the food.

The room (101) was huge and very comfortable including a spa bath. Dinner was excellent however, the staff need to be more attentive and aware of customers needs (it wasn't busy) but getting table service during our meal was very frustrating, when we did catch their eye, they were all very polite and helpful - especially Liam. Breakfast- buffet, forget it and go elsewhere, no eggs, bacon like cardboard, self - toaster either slightly toasted or burnt, soggy mushrooms, sausages rock - hard! We would definitely stay here again but minus the breakfast.

Excellent DOG friendly oasis in this predominantly no dogs town. The Scottish lady behind the bar Cathy, was the life and soul of the place, so welcoming and friendly. We had fish finger sandwiches which at first sight looked a little expensive but when they arrived they were home made fish goujons with a range of other garnish, beautifully presented so it was good value quality food after all. Highly recommended!

Quaint. If you get one of the better rooms. Where I stayed in a great room, my colleague ended up in a tiny and stuffy closet-like room. Lovely old Inn. A good spot if you're staying in the area. Limited amenities, however, it's in the middle of town. The town itself. And its shops and restaurants is truly lovely. Front desk needs a CS refresher course. Efficiency and being pleasant can coexist! Bedding is luxurious. Plants and flower beds are beautiful.
