Swinfen Hall Hotel

Was at a wedding stayed for two nights.excellent location and facilities.breakfast very good excellent male server for that.really nice guy. Only downsize was that my wife has mobility problems up and stairs.you need a rail on right hand side to come down stairs. Also my wife wasn't confident going onto terrace as no hand rails.so couldnt take part in wonderful wedding photographs.

Stayed very recently for a wedding and the whole weekend was fabulous. The hotel and grounds are stunning, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were also fantastic, all incredibly helpful, friendly and smiling. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and was really sorry to leave at the end of the weekend!

I struggle with a brain injury and basic understanding of things due to being the passengerin a car accident, I tried to book a table at dans le noir however for some reason I was redirected to this site and booked believing it to be the one in London. I spoke to someone over the phone and was told its a like for like experience but with better quality food.

I was still thinking its in London. On the day it was booked for I had issues with my sugar levels due to being diabetic which makes the affect of thr brain injury worse when my levels are low. As I was heading to London I couldn't work out why I couldn't find the location then found out it wasn't even in London. After explaining this situation I still wasn't able to get a refund or be able to rebook.

Most companies would take this situation into consideration especially when the experience is mainly run by people with disabilities. So lack of customer care or understanding that this isn't a simple task for someone who has a brain injury to plan.

Although we didn't end up having our wedding here, the coordinator Lucie was incredibly professional even throughout a pandemic, and patient with all of our questions over years of planning. If you want a personal, informative, and involved team I cannot recommend Lucie and the Swinfen wedding team enough.

We had the most wonderful New Year's Eve at Swinfen Hall. The pre-dinner entertainment was lovely, the meal was superb and the band had everyone dancing the night away. As if that wasn't enough sparking wine was served before midnight and we went out on the steps for a spectacular firework display.

Went on Sunday for the Christmas lunch, and came away early. We had a table by the window, and frankly we might as well have been sat outside. I informed the staff, and they shut the shutter doors on the large window, but wood was missing from the shutters so we still got a draught. Closing the shutters took away the light from our table, so we felt as if we were sat in the cold and dark, not an ideal way to eat your lunch.

There were plenty of staff, however the person serving our table had a terrible hygiene problem, which should not happen when leaning over people and serving tables, and again this was off putting! What we had of the food was nice, but we left after our mains. We had paid in advance for this meal, for 4 adults, and only stayed for half of it. I did alert Swinfen to our concerns yesterday, and was disappointed by the lack of accountability by the manager regarding this matter.

Its well known at this hotel that the large old windows are draughty, but they continue to sit people next to them with no regard for comfort. A costly wasted afternoon for all concerned!

Attended my friend's wedding an all day affair so booked a room overnight. The location, building and surrounding grounds were idyllic. Our room was lovely. The food served thought out the day and our breakfast was of a high standard. But my praise goes to the staff of which I must say were all courteous, polite and extremely helpful. Lots going on in development here and will definitely be making a return visit. Oh forgot the Deers in the surrounding fields such a lovely sight.
