Very disappointed - would not recommend. Don't bother, don't fall for their website photos as it is anything but 4 star. An executive room with breakfast for one night at 249 nets you a tired executive room with no air conditioning, cracked bath tiles, a rubbish shower with no pressure (for this price we'd expect a luxury shower), no USB points to charge your phone/devices, very patchy WIFI, badly uneven creaky floorboards, a towel radiator that's permanently on very hot, and enough noise from a slamming corridor door to wake you up at several points through the night.

The food is okay but pricey. Cleanliness is also questionable, the rooms could do with a deep clean. Some staff are helpful, others can be quite rude. You're lucky if you get through to reception on the phone. This place portrays a certain image to attract customers, but it's nothing special. The breakfast is mediocre. We won't be returning again.

Two words: rip-off. Choose a different hotel, or better yet, save your money! Update 16/06/22. We were called and received an apology with a 20% refund. There were no comments on plans to address the highlighted faults with the stay.

We're staying in an executive double room and it's absolutely shocking. Stinks of smoke, old bottles of beer from previous guests left in room, noisy air con all night, toilet refilling all night. Minor thing but only 1 bottle of water in the fridge and toilet fitting coming away from the wall. For the amount we've paid it's definitely not up to scratch! Avoid if you can!

Just got back from a weekend here and I've got to say I'm very disappointed. Best part was the gym and the pool. Staff are very friendly but It doesn't make up for slow service. Seriously who's running this place? Going for breakfast was genuinely an awful experience. Replenishment of food took forever and when it did the portions were tiny which caused everyone to behave like animals it was literally like dog eat dog at breakfast.

I had to go back up 10 times to get a full plate of food it was a genuine nightmare. Bar had no atmosphere and everything was overpriced. You can't justify charging 5:50 a pint if the beer tastes like water. Live entertainment was good but not fitting for a Friday night I genuinely went back up the room feeling quite deflated. Management need to have a word with the staff and be more organised and on the ball as there no sense of urgency or organisation whatsoever. Overall I'm not happy with my stay, won't be returning.

We booked the spa conservatory for an end of life celebration following a family funeral & paid 270 for afternoon tea for 10 people. at Lea Marston yesterday. I'd asked for tea to be served at 3.30pm. When we arrived there wasn't even any water on the table & it took 20 minutes for tea, coffee & water to be served, & another 10 minutes for the food to be served, which didn't arrive till 4pm.

Some of the family had travelled from outside Birmingham for the funeral & everyone was thirsty & hungry on arrival at the hotel. I had to ask the staff several times if they could serve the drinks at least while we waited for food, & was met with a surly reply from one of the staff who said 'I am literally bringing it now' - at 3.50 when it should've been served at 3.30 & still didn't arrive till 4pm.

The same young woman also slammed tea & coffee pots on the table when serving the drinks & was clearly annoyed that I'd asked her to hurry up with the order, showing zero respect or empathy to a group of guests who'd just attended a family funeral. The carpet in the room we were in was also dirty, covered in dog hair & clearly hadn't been vacuumed that day.

We had my one year old nephew with us & put him on the floor to crawl around & when we picked him up he was covered in dog hair. We were really disappointed by the treatment we received yesterday, on what was already a difficult & emotional day. I emailed the hotel the following day to complain & was told it would be passed to a manager. 3 weeks later - no response.

I sent a reminder email last week & was again assured a manager would contact me 'ASAP'. I'm still waiting! I can only assume that the hotel management are happy for their staff to treat paying guests so poorly!

Arrived at the hotel only to find out at the reception that the jacuzzi and pool is out of order. This has apparently happened on Friday but failed to notify customers. After having mentioned that, the gentleman offered to cancel the stay, despite travelling 3hours. Inconsiderate. We stayed the night, the hotel isn't anything great. Very. outdated.

We decided to head to the sauna and steam room as these were available, I had enquired about the pool and jacuzzi with the receptionist there, they mentioned that it had been like this since start of the week. Mm, different to what we told earlier. For obvious reasons the sauna area was very quiet, had a few odd people. Had spoken to them, only to hear that the pool area is never working and is always out of use. What a real shame.

I was served by a young man in the Bistro whom I found very polite and respectful. I found this very refreshing to be classed as a person and not just a room number. It was one of my early experiences with the Lea Marston Hotel and it was the making of my stay. I shall return again in the near future and hope that I will find my stay as refreshing as this one.

Reception welcome was excellent. Ordered taxi for us. Breakfast 10 am slot. Items missing, replenishment slow. Eggs cold. No marmalade only one jam for my toast. Returned to room was locked out. Reception long queue at check-out time, one member of staff. Most there card keys for room deactivated. 20 mins wait returned to room new card not working. Frustrating Sunday overall. Quality service & reasonable adjustments not there. We were late for meeting my son.

I've just left after a very pleasant stay, I won't lie I was a bit worried after reading a few poor reviews but needn't of worried. if I had to nit pick I'd say they could of done with a few more staff on the Saturday night as were very busy but they all coped and were very polite and professional so I wouldn't complain. food on both nights was very good and breakfast was wonderful.

The Sunday morning breakfast was a buffet which I think hotels our very pushed to keep standard high but 10 out of 10 it was great only problem I ate far to much, would not have any problem giving recommendation I would definitely stay again if I was in the area thank you very much

Spa day booking - We arrived at the hotel between 9am and 930am as advised on the website for our spa day. There was plenty of room for parking. We were given our allocated times for lunch and our treatments, and we had to pre order our choice for the lunch, which had a fair few options. Our lunch was scheduled for 12pm, my treatment at 1pm and my friends at 2pm.

We had use of the facilities and were given robes, towels and slippers. The receptionist seemed friendly and helpful. When it came to lunch, we were taken to the separate area for dining. Unfortunately our first course of the two did not come out til about 1230, this unfortunately led to our second course coming out about 1300. I spoke to the receptionist to advise of the delay, and they said they were booked back to back.

By the time we had eaten and I got to my treatment, I was advised they could only allocate me a 25 minute treatment and that was it. I understand if fully booked but felt it was a bit unfortunate as it was out of my control. The facial was nice, and my friend enjoyed her full treatment. The facilities were okay. Sauna was also not working at the time.

There was a quiet room, but sadly you could hear a shooting sound at times, as there is a shooting range nearby. I do feel disappointed as had paid for a 55 minute treatment, as part of the spa day package. The swimming pool area, was not the biggest of rooms, they did try and fit as much seating in there as possible, there were only 4 sun-loungers for quite a busy facility

Took my Aunty for an evening pub meal and was really pleasantly surpised. The food was excellent cooked beautifully even though so called 'pub grub' a lot of attention went into preparing and cooking. Well done very enjoyable.

The guy working at the spa was very rude in the way he spoke to us. The receptionists were also uwelcoming. The changing room facilities were dirty. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was nice.

From time of arrival until checkout, the service of all the staff was first class. The food was of the highest standard. Highly recommended and look forward to returning in the future.

Overall the pub food is so overpriced for what it is and feels just like it was slapped on the plate quickly. When trying to order food for lunch for room service, the food I actually wanted they didn't even have although it was still on the menu. When arriving nobody told us information just what room number we was, for example didn't tell us when breakfast finished so was unable to have breakfast in the morning.

The hotel room itself was mediocre but the hotel itself needs a good refurb. Website says food stops being served at 10 but was unable to get any at 10 past 9 which I didn't get. Also when phoning down for room service the receptionist I spoke to seemed she had a rude manner about herself and was very blunt. Wont be returning again

Great location (bad cellphone reception though.). Good service. Nice pool and fitness area. The golfcourse next door is great to play on as well. Would recommend staying here.

More wrong than right. My partner booked this as a treat through late luxury. The room, a superior one, was lovely, clean and modern. The rest was. On arrival(very early), we knew we wouldn't be able to check in but hoped to use the pool etc, only to find it was closed due to chlorine levels. We had a leisurely drink instead in the conservatory area, this was outstandingly dirty, the tables were sticky from the previous evening and the carpet needed a good hoover. Undoubtedly, by lunchtime they still hadn't had a chance to clean!

The staff although lovely, lack a serious amount of training. On check in, we were not told - our room wouldn't be cleaned during our stay - what time breakfast and dinner were - that we had to make reservations for both - where the lift was The bar staff didn't know what a cognac is or what glass to serve it in, there were 3 beers on draft and none were available.

The second day, the pool was closed again for the same reason. We know it's difficult for businesses, but just a little fine attention to details could make all the difference here.

Stayed in a Superior room. Used the swimming pool/sauna/steam room - was excellent! Dinner was a great choice and the breakfast had a great variety of breakfast. All the staff were very friendly! Would definitely stay again so can take full advantage of the Spa facilities
