Booked overnight stay for friend's local wedding. Very easy to book, and check in - nice friendly welcome. 2nd floor to so lift was very handy. Venue is a main street, old coaching house style pub - despite a Saturday night had an undisturbed sleep. Rooms & beds comfy, excellent breakfast & good value. Parking a bit challenging, as only 5 spaces behind pub, though access via 40-50 space Library car park free weekends after 5pm Saturday.

Pleasant staff and very welcoming. The hotel had a quite old outlook to it which was quite nice! Great location for car park. The breakfast does not mirror the menu at all. We are vegetarians and we were not given an option for a vegetarian breakfast at all, when sat at the table the menu listed vegetarian options as well gluten free etc we were not offered /asked about it.

I asked if they did fried egg instead of scrambled. I was told whatever is out that's what they have. Funny because the menu states we can choose how we would like our egg. During our booking, the lady also stated we can order breakfast from the menu. We just feel the hotel should not communicate wrong messages to their customers.

Stopped for a quick lunch on Sunday. Had the dog with us. The bar was pleasant, staff friendly and food was good. There is an outdoor area that seemed pleasant, nice when it gets a bit warmer. Close to the river and shops, very pleasant.

I've not stayed here before but my experience this evening, when I stopped by for a drink or two, was great. The atmosphere is good, the homage to Aston Manager (Lagonda) is fantastic and the staff are superb. I shall find an excuse to stay.

Small bedroom for a double bed. One of us was lying against the wall. Quite pricey. Breakfast was good. Staff were good. Bar shuts at 12.

A very helpful staff who assisted us after an RAC breakdown mess up. Breakfast was very welcome after a good night. The only thing was the loud traffic noise during the night from our front room.

Lovely setting and lovely staff. Food good. Do not have a room that over looks the outside drinking area. Management must have been deaf to shouting by drunk clientele, it is a pub and you do expect a certain amout of noise, but I am a paying guest.

Came here for a 2 night stay whilst visiting family. What can I say, brilliant staff, lovely room, breakfast very nice and tasty. Lovely outside area to sit in. 5 stars doesn't cover this so I give it 10. We will be back again soon.

Wonderful staff, went out of their way to accommodate my motorbike safely over night - luxurious bed - breakfast excellent (good choices) - seems harsh but just dropped a star because some aspects rather dated, would certainly recommend though. Lovely walk along the river too. Even a tiny secret stairway to.

Nice little hotel with a restaurant and bar. The room was basic yet more than adequate. The food in the restaurant was above average for its price, which wasnt massively expensive. Price of the room was 54 so not expensive, especially for a non-chain hotel in a quite little town! over all a nice place, enjoyable stay and reasonably priced! Staff were polite and kind
