Dartmouth is a fantastic town and well worth a visit. There is plenty to see and do here with an abundance of charming little shops and Dartmouth's impressive castle. You can take a ferry across the river to Kingswear where you can catch a steam train along the Dart valley to Paignton; or maybe a leisurely river trip up the estuary to Totnes, taking you past the village of Dittisham and some of the most spectacular countryside around.

A group of us went for a meal, here, due to the fabulous reviews. I'm guessing they must all have been hotel guests, not dinner guests. The menue was EXTREMELY limited. Not everyone could get something for all the courses. The food that we did eat, though, was nice. Not great, but OK. We asked in advance if we could order alternatives, but, despite the promise, no one ever responded.
It wasn't until after the meal and walking across the room that it became apparent how grotesquely dirty and sticky the floors were. The bathrooms were the same. It left an overall feeling of a lack of cleanliness. The serving staff were lovely. Just a disappointing time, all around. I could never recommend this place for an evening meal. Or anything else, because it just felt icky.

Lovely hotel, very clean. Amazing views of the see from the windows, pools and recreation areas were great! Can be a bit of a struggle to park though. Good breakfast, friendly staff. The only caveat, is the price. 185 per night for 2 people is a little on the high side, and given the distance from the nearest good beach or point of attraction, I do t think it is totally worth the money, IMHO

Really welcoming family owned restaurant and hotel. Obviously currently with a limited menu due to covid, it was still really delicious. We had a generous selection of tapas treats and all were tasty and fresh. Beautiful terrace area to enjoy the views and sunshine and we were lucky with the weather. Really recommend when visiting this lovely part of the world. Note- some more vegan and vegetarian options suggestions would make the menu more diverse but again I accept this is a strange time Thanks for having us.
