St Merryn Hotel

Our stay was in one of the hotels budget rooms, dated but very clean, warm and comfortable, fresh linen and towels. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, ensuite with curtesy shower wash. TV. Host was really great, friendly and welcoming.

Nice rooms good friendly service and really good food served.

Clear, comfortable, very good food, staff very helpful. On the down side no lift.

Just spent a few days here and really enjoyed my stay. I came with a coach party and we arrived very late for dinner after an horrendous journey (Travelstyle!) but despite this Blanche and Mike, along with the waitress who didn't seem to mind at all our encroaching on her evening, went all out to provide us with a good meal and great hospitality. I am a single traveller and quite used (despite paying a single supplement) to being given a broom cupboard usually overlooking skip at rear or above the kitchen. However, my room was on the top floor via stairs, with adjacent fire escape. Spacious, clean, crisp white bedding, white towels changed daily, bathroom but no shower, however upon request I was quickly given a jug to rinse my hair with.

Shower on ground floor if required. Plenty of storage, reception tray, tv, hairdryer etc. Really quiet too. To top it all, I had a magnificent sea view - couldn't ask for more. Mike and Blanche went out of their way to ensure our needs were catered for, nothing too much trouble. Roast dinner with all the trimmings each night. No complaints whatsoever, would definitely go again but perhaps not with Travelstyle :( Thank you Blanche & Mike
