Very basic place. Both bedroom and bathroom were very small in the double bedroom. Small shower, no bath mat, no hand soap, had to buy more loo roll from the shop round the corner. Said there would be ironing facilities but it's actually a communal iron downstairs, not your own one in your room. Mini 'fridge' was so small you could hardly fit anything in it and it also didn't get cold.

The 'digital keypad' on our bedroom door was so hit and miss, and 'failed' so many times. very frustrating, it should be easy to just open our bedroom door.! No one around greet/meet us or to ask for help or to answer any queries as they've now decide to operate solely online/digitally. If I'm honest I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back ourselves.

Definitely not luxury so if that's what you're looking for then I would look elsewhere! Overall, just extremely overpriced for how basic and shoddy it was (400 for 3 nights !) and our customer experience was not great either since it got 'taken over by new management'. We originally had booked a king sized room and then when it got taken over by the new people, our room miraculously changed to a 'double room' but the price stayed the same.

They also said we'd have a 'sea view' - this was funny because it was actually a view of the car park and houses, but if you look past the house you can see the sea ever so slightly in the distance. but you'd probably be able to see it a bit more if the windows weren't so dirty and grimy. Reviews seemed to be better with the management before current management, and the photos on the website make it seem nicer than what it actually is.

Far from deluxe - don't book the Nook there is no breakfast served; rooms are very small, the bathroom is smaller than in a ship's cabin. There is no house-keeping either. If you book seaview, you are lucky to see a few waves from the sea between the buildings around nook. All in all: not worth the money

Location is within 15 min walk downhill to the beach/ town centre. Room had no WiFi signal. Downstairs there was a leak from first floor to the living room. Outdoor garden chairs were dirty. Small welcome pack was good to cope with lack of breakfasts. A bit too expensive for what's offering. Room was clean but place deserve some renovations

Before arrival the accommodation sends you details of how to access your room. They give you a key code to a safety box where your key is stored. A very clever idea, especially in the current climate. Once we entered the room we were greeted by a lovely bag of gifts. It contained local biscuits, apple juice and other things. A very nice gesture. The room is of ample size, as is the bathroom.

They stay was very pleasant and we came and went as we pleased. You can get tea/coffee/milk as you want it and there is an iron and ironing board in a small cupboard in the hallway. The bathroom shower didn't quite close properly and we couldn't have breakfast due to Covid-19. No problem as the room rate was discounted to accommodate. You get an early wake up call from the seagulls but I imagine that's an issue all over St Ives.

If you struggle to walk a distance this might not be the place for you. The B & B sits on top of some steep roads. No issue for us though. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I had the experience of room #9. No Wi-Fi although it's advertised and available in the lobby, there's no coverage in the room. No fridge in the room. The set up of the room is not well arranged with a single size bed and a portable TV set positioned on a chest of drawers by the wall facing the side of the bed which makes it a painful, neck twisting experience to watch TV.

No fan or aircon, just a window looking at someone's back yard with people and children running around, so if you want some privacy (or take the shirt off), you have to draw the curtains (no blinds), or you risk facing charges for indicent exposureParking is ideal for 3-4 cars but divided into 6-7 parking spaces (it cost extra to park but it's a nightmare getting in and out if you are in a large car when the lot is full).

The good points are that the place is very clean and there were complimentary bottle of apple juice and biscuits on the bed which is a very nice touch. Went out for dinner in St. Ives and it turned out to be the greatest and unexpected disappointment. We were chased away (literary) from every restaurant we approached by unfriendly and unwelcoming staff demanding prebooking, masks, NHS tracking phone apps etc and we realised that we stand no chance of getting food or a drink anywhere in town.

I know UK is not a great tourist destination as it offers very poor quality of food, service and accommodation but things in the summer of 2021 have gone way beyond desasterous. A bit disappointed overall.

Great B & B friendly staff excellent breakfast and with parking. Feels secluded and has a garden area to sit and relax with other guests. Walking distance from harbour and beaches with lots to do in walking distance. Rooms are bright and tastefully decorated with all you could need for a stay. I would certainly go back and stay there again.

We have been here twice now and it's not our favourite place. The staff are not warm and friendly, you just get the feeling they are there under duress. It's all clean and tidy but the rooms are small. Our heating didn't work very well and it was a bitter cold north east wind outside. The breakfast times are archaic.8.15 to 9.15.even at weekends. Who wants to get up that early when you are on holiday!

We didn't bother one morning and the second morning it was only average with no bowls of fruit salad just bananas and pears. And no friendly greeting from the waitress ( it was 9.05 and she gave the impression she wanted to get off duty asap ). The website says free parking but it's not. 2 pounds per day. Location is not that good especially if you can't walk far with a steep hill to get back to the hotel ( or is it a b and b really). The price was good and that was why we chose it. But all in all was it value for money? It's in the balance. I would give it a 2.5 but the system won't let me!

The Nook was all around a good place to stay: * Ideally located for someone who wants a car to take day trips from St. Ives while being as close to town center as possible. It was a bit of a hike up the hill, but we found it invigorating after a good dinner in town. Also, there is apparently some sort of inexpensive shuttle if needed. * Our family room was clean and comfortable, with a nice combination shower-bath. * Breakfast was good and plentiful, with various cereals, juices, fruits, and yogurt in addition to the ordered hot breakfasts.

While some of the hot breakfast options had a lot of food, the kitchen seemed open to a certain amount of mixing from the different menu items, which is good to avoid waste. * Communication with and flexibility of the owner was good - our arrival was delayed by tire trouble for a couple of hours, and when we notified the owner, John, he was quite understanding, sympathetic, and flexible to accommodate our late arrival.

What a Great place to stay check in was easy and I was ushered in and shown my small but perfect single room for my one night stay with shower and en-suite. Lovely outside area decked and with comfy chairs and the lounge area was welcoming. Its close to the town without being too near but It was a steep return (not that i did as I had the motorbike).

Breakfast was fab and the scrambled egg and smoked salmon i had was delicious. Good value great location and friendly owners what more could you ask for. I'm going to return here with the wife for a long weekend soon and I know she'll love it too
