We were curious as to how our stay at The Boskerris might be different under new management, having stayed three times previously. I'm pleased to say that our fourth stay was our favourite to date! Catherine is a delightful person with a warm smile and an infectious laugh, who even went out of her way to personally organise a surprise birthday cake for my wife, brought out at breakfast complete with singing and candles.
A magic moment! Catherine's staff are also the perfect Boskerris line-up - established FOH legends Anne and Sam are now joined by Cara and Tracy, all of whom are genuine people exuding warmth, humour, quality and class, making you feel very welcome and making sure you have a very relaxing stay. Also, the team's extensive local knowledge make for top recommendations on where to visit (and when to best avoid the crowds).
The biggest practical change since COVID has been at breakfast, where the central table where you could previously help yourself to juices, yoghurts, fruit, toast etc. has been replaced by a 'To start' board, served by the fantastic staff (Julia, Amy and Jude - all fabulous!) - where your warm croissants and a big pot of yoghurt, mixed berry and Annie's home-made muesli (a delicious touch of continuity) are delivered to your table, prior to ordering your cooked breakfast.
We found this a much better set-up, avoiding huddles and giving guests plenty of space while the very fast and efficient team worked their magic. In the evening also, we thoroughly enjoyed high quality dinners - the atmosphere is fantastic, candle-lit ambience with soothing music gently in the background, the food was absolutely delicious (I suggest the Hake be renamed For Heaven's Hake - it melts in the mouth!) Catherine has hired a top chef from one of St. Ives' best restaurants - meaning we had the choice to enjoy the very best cuisine in the comfort of our own hotel. St Ives is still very busy and booking tables in restaurants is tricky - so save yourself the hassle!
Then pop into Marianne's bar (a classy tribute, to a classy lady) for a drink on the terrace, where we also had a fantastic cream tea and cheese board! The exceptional design and feel of The Boskerris remains the same familiar and cosy 'home from home' experience, with plenty of stunning artwork on display. Catherine has introduced a few subtle enhancements, including the 100 Acres toiletries, which are very pleasant to use - and smell great.
There is also plenty of nicely scented hand sanitiser dotted around the hotel too. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave - we loved our stay so much and are very grateful to the kind, thoughtful staff who really looked after us and made us feel like old friends. We can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful hotel would suit couples on a romantic and relaxed getaway looking for a special break. Carbis beach is great and a short walk away. We took train from Carbis Bay station which is 5 mins walk from hotel to St Ives most days which took 3 mins and trains run 2 times per hour which is great. Breakfast was lovely in the hotel and the restaurant area is the perfect setting looking out over the ocean and the bays. Great hotel and the staff extremely helpful, we were even provided with a beach bag with towels to borrow!

I don't know where to begin! Booked on somewhat of a whim for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Overall impression : absolutely brilliant, book it if you want somewhere quiet but still gives the opportunity for adventure! First impression : Clean, Airy, Relaxing Room : We got a room with a view and often times I would find myself just sitting and looking out at the view as it was just so peaceful.
Lovely amenities, (great rain shower) and just a personal touch of a card saying 'Happy Anniversary' sometimes make all the difference. Food: Top. Notch! One night we had the Fruits de Mer and let me tell you, the freshness of the seafood was only enhanced by the skill of the chef(s). Breakfast, bar none the best I've experienced in a long time. People: the experience at Boskerris would be nothing without the people.
I certainly felt at home whilst still being able to feel like I'm on holiday. I don't want to say names as I wouldn't want to offend anyone but you all were so absolutely lovely see you soon!

Fantastic. The best service, room and breakfast quality we have ever experienced in a hotel. Everything is done with so much care and love. We felt at home from the first minute to the last! Fantastic. views, secluded location (but not too far off the beaten path), and excellent wine selection, phenomenal breakfast, friendly staff everywhere, and tons of little details to top it all off. A beautiful place. We will never forget our stay there.

Stayed here for 2 nights, and i must say i was amazed at how beautiful it was. From the moment you walk in, you feel warm and welcome. The whole place is bright and inviting. The entrance Hall is well decorated, a lovely welcome from Sam. The lounge is very relaxing and the terrace has amazing views of the Sea. Only downside here is, they could do with some outdoor heaters as it did get cold quickly.
The Room we had was sea view, and breath-taking. Clean and a very well decorated room. All the staff at hotel were great from breakfast till late evening. I was told the hotel is decorated once a year, so it keeps it up to date, and does not look tired. The hotel is a 5 min walk from Carbis Bay, which is a lovely beach. The train station is 3 mins walk and 3 mins ride into St Ives. Overall excellent location and hotel. Recommended!

Cute hotel with great breakfast! Views are amazing! There isn't a huge amount of parking and the car park is quite small to maneuver in. The rooms are also on the small side but well equipped and extremely light and airy. The balcony is a great idea and was popular when we stayed. The staff were amazing and the map on the wall with tips and ideas on where to go was one of the best features I've seen in a hotel. Great stay, would return for sure.

Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The staff were welcoming, helpful & friendly. Best customer service I have ever received. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was just fantastic. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a free upgrade to their Superior Sea View room was a lovely touch. Good walking distance to St. Ives, peaceful location and delicious breakfast.
Only point I would make it the location of the hotel is halfway up a hill which can be a steep walk but no issue if you don't mind a bit of exercise. Best trip we've had. Out of this world. Will return.

We were there 10 years ago for our honeymoon and had a happily memorable stay. Visited again yesterday as we were staying in St Ives, and had a warm welcome; though it's not a service they usually provide to non resident guests we were able to have a coffee/tea break and a chance to reminisce. This was greatly appreciated.
