I so wanted to like this place more! Firstly the staff are great, and the location is just stunning. Sadly I guess C19 damaged the hotel, as the rooms are really poor. They are tired and in our case, dirty! While I can excuse the tired decor, then can be no reason for rooms to be dirty. The breakfast was average. However the location and the staff are what make the place. Hopefully the owners will be able to invest in upgrading the rooms in the future, if they do, then we will be back!

Fabulous setting, but the twin room we had was awful; old sagging beds, smelly linen that we had to spray with deodorant, stained pillows and a miserable, shabby bathroom and shower. Staff were friendly. I don't understand other reviews raving about the food, our food was so awful we didn't have the breakfast we had paid for. This inn has old fashioned, faded and dated decor that the photos don't show. Shame as the location is just beautiful.

Stopped off on the way to Tarbert for a drink and something to eat, the pub is signposted from the road otherwise you wouldn't spot it as its down a single track road about 3/4 mile from the main road. Well worth a visit, beautiful spot and the food is very good, would definitely visit again when next in the area.
