Elaine is a great host. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is great as well. Nothing is too much trouble for Elaine and I look forward to staying there again.

Elaine is a fantastic hostess. The room was perfect for us. We had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice and the cooked elements were of really high quality. We will definitely be back! We stayed in room 3. Mum and child. Twin room. Good size and handy ensuite shower / toilet. Can recommend the Dolce Vita Italia restaurant in Marple.

We have stayed here twice in the past & found Kevin to be the perfect host. How people who have never stayed there can comment on the Springfield based on a TV program says more about them than it does about Kevin. How would they like their business run down by people who have not used it? The room was perfect for our needs & the breakfast more than adequate & cooked exactly to our liking. Kevin even offered to give us a lift to a local club as it was raining.

We plan on staying again in the near future as soon as the current situation eases and the Springfield will definitely be our first choice in the area. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here? Read reviews of customers & not sad couch potatoes.

Good location, clean comfortable rooms, a very good breakfast. However Mr Dowling seems to have modelled himself on Basil Fawlty with considerably less charm. Would have given 5 stars if we had dealt solely with Mrs Dowling.

I stayed at the Springfield whilst on a cycling tour, and I am disappointed that a large number of negative posts are based on viewing a cleverley edited TV show, and not from personal experience. Although I only stayed 1 night, I found the hosts friendly, the rooms adequate, and breakfast set me up for a day in the saddle. I

Awful experience. Noise outside was terribly holocaustic. Owner was incredibly rude and unbearably dull. Room was sterile and had a sense of deadness to it. Toast was badly burned and asked for fresh mushrooms and was lied to and provided with tinned. Not even worth half the asking price. Avoid Marple like the plague.

Not stayed here and wouldn't having viewed TV's Four in a Bed. Absolutely obnoxious owner who really is in the wrong job. He shouldn't be in the hospitality trade. Very average looking B&B.

Great place, lovely people. Thank you to Kevin & Elaine, also to Carol, for making me so welcome & going the extra mile to make sure I enjoyed my stay - especially since I arrived with an injured foot! So helpful, yet not intrusive. I will DEFINITELY be trying to make a return visit soon.
