Sheffield Park Hotel & Leisure Club

Totally unacceptable. Took ages to check in as only one person on reception. Found blood all over my sons pillow and sheets. We though he'd had a nose bleed but it was on the underside of the pillow and there was no sign of it on him. Complained to reception and they just said sorry. Air con not working so provided a fan. When paying nearly 600 for 3 nights you expect more. Rooms need updating desperately.

I used to work in this hotel when it was built and it's a shame to see how tired it has now got. Hilton need to do better for their loyal members. Charging to use the pool and getting the money back in vouchers for the bar? I thought the amount I've paid would have allowed me to use the facilities cause the rooms themselves are just not worth it. They need to spend on this place to make it worth the amount they charge. I will certainly not be staying again, much better hotels offering better value, even if you take into consideration a taxi fare to the area.

We went for a spa treat weekend, which was excellent value. Room was nice, massage much needed and restaurant on-site was ok. It was the staff that made this hotel though, they were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Check in by Harriet (I think), was brilliant and very welcoming. The staff are friendly and attentive, the hotel is ideal for the money, good food. Gym dated, but why there is a 5 charge for non members (including hotel guests), to use the small, beige pool is a mystery. Even the Leisure staff, couldn't explain. This is a first for me having to pay to use a pool as a hotel guest.

One other point is there are two or three, little lights that stay on in the bedroom when the lights are off, including what I assume was a router. So maybe they could look at making them more discreet. But let that not take away from a comfortable stay, great facilities and excellent staff - thank you.

Modern and very comfortable. I had a queen bed and the room was plenty spacious. The hotel is set back from the road behind trees. Plenty of parking spaces. Very friendly staff. The bar had a welcoming atmosphere and the meal I had was very tasty. I would like to have visited the Marco Pierre White restaurant and the spa if I had stayed longer. Whilst there, I visited Chatsworth House and Sheffield Botanical Gardens, both within easy reach by car. An excellent hotel for anyone wanting to venture out across the moors of the Peak District National Park.

Staff were helpful and the food was very good. Room was decent, but some details were missed. One pillow was stained, there was a strange 'deposit' down the side of the bed, long since fossilised, no complimentary mineral water (most decent hotels provide this) and the plastic shower head seam was splitting and sprayed water in all directions whilst the shower was in use. But, the room was comfortable overall and staff service and food quality made up for it.

Location is handy for both Sheffield and Chesterfield, but no shops nearby, so you'll be eating in the hotel. Luckily, the prices are reasonable and quality, as mentioned already, really good.

Came here for our mini moon and had the best time. Hotel went above and beyond with a congratulations sign on our room, rose petals on the bed, drinks vouchers and a lovely card. The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and staff are lovely. Definitely worth a visit to the spa which is reasonably priced, very clean and incredible facilities. I am sure we will return in the future

A Classic Global Chain Hotel, identical to all the others. However this one features some truly wonderful service staff, who happily catered for our every need. Honestly, .they were quite exceptional! But then It was Sheffield after all. Great people! My question is. how could the management of this hotel not notice that in room 206 (I think!) The window didnt close properly.

I had to get up twice in the middle of the night and wedge the window closed with bits of cardboard. otherwise there was a draft, the sound of wind & traffic noise! It had obviously been that way for a while. No one really cares about guest comfort in a global chain hotel like Double Tree!

We originally got booked into a cold room with not having the items that was specified by booking.com however Harry was the agent that happen to check us in. He was very helpful indeed doing his job he then gave the reason to why the room takes a while to warm up, we was then given a complimentary drink whilst we wait for the room to warm up. I give this a 5 star rating because Harry went above and beyond to give us a lovely stay especially as we was misinformed about having our dogs with us. Well done Harry and thank you. Note this hotel need more people like harry! Cheer Harry well done happy customers!

My husband and i have always stayed at this hotel when coming to the Peak District, The hotel has a free car park with lots of parking spaces, upon arrival we have always had great customer service, we have never had any issues with our rooms or anything the staff have always been fantastic. We always book the swimming pool slots for 1 hour in advance, and the hot tub is an absolute dream after a long days hiking.

The massage treatment and masseuses have always been wonderful. I would like to show appreciation to all the staff especially Phoebe, Jessie, the new gentleman who worked at reception, the cleaners and the wonderful ladies at breakfast who go out of their way to provide excellent service every single time. We will most definitely be coming back!

Fantastic hotel, great location and amazing staff. 5 minutes from shops, 20 minutes from scenic walks and 30 minutes from a free petting zoo! The hotel is clean, with spacious rooms. All staff friendly and very very helpful. Pool is fantastic and worth the entry fee.
