Had afternoon tea here. It was good value at 25 per person, as the food was tasty and well presented, if not plentiful. I was disappointed to find a small hair in the cream, which was replaced. Although I had a lovely time with friends I feel the service should have been a lot better for the type of venue. We asked if there was an option to have more sandwiches and were told no as they were premade and not replenished. Servers could have been more welcoming. The beach view however, was stunning.

Fantastic location- sweeping views over Saunton beach. Day-to-day management needs a shake-up: tables on the terrace frequently left with guest's dirty drinks glasses for quite some time, used wet towels not collected from the pool area and strewn around for a long time. Forgetting to fill up the room mini-bar. Iconic hotel and location though, still thoroughly enjiyed it.

Some very nice staff and appreciated the upgrade - hotel could do with renovation and I was quite disappointed to learn the team had COVID so I could not do my facial. I travelled many hours on trains (now I am sick from) and I was looking forward to a spa break which is not what I received. Other than this, good room service but in future please have backup staff available.

We had a good stay in the Saunton Sands hotel. The man who greeted us on reception was quite uninterested and not particularly friendly and we noticed later on a couple checking in got champagne which we were never offered. Parts of the hotel are a little dated but some bits were very nice, particularly the spa and outdoor pool. The food for breakfast was average. Great views and access to the beach. Overall a pleasant stay.

Super helpful and friendly staff and a clean beautiful Hotel inside. The view from my balcony was stunning and the complimentary shampoo etc were nice to use. Nice touch to have slippers and a dressing gown for spa treatments, but (and my ONLY negative point) is the dressing gown was slightly dog-eared and needed softener. The food is delicious, Halibut was amazing!
The Source Spa was great, the most relaxing massage and the therma treatments were fantastic. Infinity jacuzzi and a clear view over the breaking waves was sheer heaven. I would highly recommend this Hotel but make sure you get a sea view with balcony.its worth the extra! A*

Hotel was beautiful with amazing views. All staff were absolutely faultless and nothing was too much to ask. The spa was amazing and free usage for hotel visitors was a massive plus. Combined with free childcare services daily (which my daughter absolutely loved) while we used the spa made it absolutely amazing. The breakfast. wow. anything you wanted was there.
All round lovely relaxing visit, a stones throw from the beach with plenty to do in and around the hotel. Hotel room was clean and lovely, and quick housekeeping to remake the beds and replenish towels while we were at breakfast was swift and efficient.

Experience ruined by parking charges. 140 added to cost of staying! Parking is handled by Smart Parking. When I checked in, the hotel took my car reg details for the parking system but didn't enter them for several hours. So I was charged by Smart Parking. The hotel did not arrange for the charge to be revoked and so far has not refunded my costs from their staff error.
