Beautiful hotel, it stands in wonderful gardens, walk to the end and there's lovely views of the sea. Nothing was too much bother for the owners Mike &Carole. Great local knowledge, with suggestions of where to go locally. Breakfast was freshly cooked with local produce, definitely will be returning. Tranquil, pretty and so relaxing, everything you need for a break.

We stayed at Rylstone Manor in September 1939 for our Honeymoon. We visited Shanklin again this year and called at Rylstone but was unable to enter the Hotel. We have (since returning home to Suffolk) looked at your reviews and pictures. It brought back many happy memories and were amazed to see that your guests agree with us that Rylstone is a wonderful Hotel. Our very best wishes to you all. Maureen and Ken Whiting

Spent 3 nights at Rylstone Manor with my partner and I would like to say WOW. Fantastic character filled hotel in a wonderful location. The room we had was beautiful, not just in size, cleanliness and facilities but the view we had from the window. Carole and Mick were fantastic hosts and almost made you feel that you had known them years with their warm friendly nature and chats at breakfast time.

They could not do enough for you and Always were on hand to help. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding including the kippers (sorry Mick). See you all soon again and hope the badgers are ok.

A unique location complimented by the most charming, warm and friendly hosts. The perfect choice for accommodation if you are visiting the Isle of Wight. Now bed & breakfast only but this in no way detracts from its appeal.

Carole and Mike are lovely hosts and made sure we were well looked after. Both are very knowledgeable of the Island and even provided recommendations of places to visit and dine. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds which you must take the time to walk around. Cant recommend this hotel and the hosts enough. Thank you for a lovely stay.

An amazing place + incredible owners = a recipe for excellence. What a weekend my friends and I shared at this lovely manner. Carol and Mike are ever so friendly and hospitable, nothing but laughs and smiles with them. There's simply nowhere else to consider staying when on the Isle of Wight.

Peace, tranquility, great service, teddy bears and a friendly hotel cat. We booked a week in the Maple room at this beautiful hotel. I really can't fault it, the service was outstanding with friendly staff falling over themselves to be helpful, tasteful rooms cleaned every day and a great menu every night. Set in the beautiful and tranquil Rylstone Gardens and right on the edge of Shanklin Chine, it seems a world away from the hustle and bustle and yet its a 5 minute walk up a little side street to the centre of Shanklin, with its shops, theatre and live acts. Rylstone Gardens also sometimes hosts concerts in the bandstand so you can walk out of the front door to see an act if you feel inclined.

The hotel owners are a lovely, friendly, attentive couple happily chatting with guests all evening in the drawing room and the waitress/ I.O.W oracle/ teddy bear maker Angie is just adorable. This was one of our best ever weeks away, you can't put a price on the memories created by this sort of stress-free tranquil haven and I will be re-booking again!
