Regency Park Hotel

Cancelled customer's bookings behind their backs without any attempt to inform them, all so they can put up refugees for the next 3 months with a nice payout from the government. Knowingly putting female members of staff in danger as have "advised" them to travel in pairs. Complete mess in a desperate bid to stay operating.

Wonderful service throughout. We booked this as a bit of a wildcard as we got a voucher soooo cheap so we were not expecting the flawless service and quality food. Went for my mates 40th birthday treat. 7 friends. We had clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, great massage, good pool. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was buffet and amazing. Lunch also great.

My only criticism is that they had not enough sun loungers by the pool and the chairs were broken. We had a wonderful time thank you! You made 7 exhausted mums of young kids very happy and well rested!

Phoned to book a 1-night spa break, as advertised on website. This was not what we were given on arrival meaning that the little extras such as use of robes & slippers were not included. On questioning this at checkout, we were told the package was not available on those dates. We were not told this at the time of booking. We have since tried to book a spa break for several dates way into the future & it is NEVER available.

Also need to be aware that a pre-auth for the full cost of your stay is taken at check-in & then you have to actually pay for your stay at check-out, which basically means you need sufficient funds in your account to pay in full twice until the pre-auth is released up to 10 days later! Lots of guests were complaining about this the day we left.

Spa break weekend. Treatment was lovely, evening meal was fab, room great. Would definitely go back

First visit, used a Wowcher for afternoon tea. It was fresh and quite nice. Nice staff But they lack client engagement skills and no check on food allergies - which to us was important! We looked out on a waterfall garden, it could be lovely even in winter. Not on our list to return to. Sorry.

A good place to stay. Comfortable beds and helpful staff. Same menu though after +8 visits. Obviously not an issue if your only going once. Food is of good standard.

New gym and spa member so probably too early to properly review. Gym is clean and tidy and no issues with access to equipment. Pool area also clean, only thing to note (which appears to be standard for all hotel changing rooms) shower heads generally not great. Popped into the hotel for a coffee and was bog standard from a machine, which was a little disappointing. Otherwise not bad so far.

Motown evening food was poor and under cooked vegetables were practical raw, sham the singing was not up to scratch. It was supposed to be Motown but she sang about 4 songs badly. Everyone dressed up apart from the singer looked as if she was ready to take the bins out what a let down. Will be looking for another venue for new years eve.

Stayed here for my birthday and was very disappointed! The room was large as we booked a deluxe however we paid extra for a balcony which ended up being just a large window so completely worthless. The room was mainly clean however the shower curtain had mould on it. We also booked a 3 course dinner which was the worst meal I have had for a long time it was much worse than a pub restaurant, this is shocking as it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel.

The restaurant had no music or anything it was dead silent which made it very awkward to even have a conversation as you could hear a pin drop, never been in a restaurant like that before. We were super excited about the leisure facilities thats the main reason we booked this hotel which were average as its very small and you get the locals coming in who go regularly with a leisure pass.

For some time my wife and I hadn't been able to find a hotel we liked that had vacancies and were surprised to discover Regency Park Hotel via Secret Escapes. The general surroundings are refreshingly green, appeasing your senses as you approach. Our stay was initially for 2 nights in an immaculate suite with a super king bed, like we're accustomed to at home.

Our package also included dinner on both nights and breakfast in the mornings in the Waterfall Restaurant that serves great food. We were so impressed with all things the hotel had to offer; the spa facilities are clean - great pool, steam room and sauna. Also, the outstanding professional massage service was so amazing that we decided to stay an extra night.

We met some genuinely pleasant guests and the hotel staff were consistently attentive throughout our stay. We'll definitely be staying there again and highly recommended this hotel.

Only stayed one night, from booking to leaving everything was smooth. Staff were friendly, food was delicious, room was very clean, modern and well appointed. Would stay again if I'm the area

Stayed 2 nights here in room 243 which is on 2nd floor. Lovely large room with sofa, comfy bed, desk/chair with lamp and a big bathroom with shower over bath. We made full use of the leisure facilities which comprise of large rectangular pool, jacuzzi and sauna and steam room (steam room was out of order during our visit). Really nice to just relax in the plentiful chairs, sofas or recliners in between swimming or chilling in the jacuzzi or sauna. Room was cleaned to very a good standard during our stay too. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Regency Park Hotel.

Fabulous value for money. Food superb. Everything spotlessly clean and staff friendly and helpful. NOTE: If booking a special offer package (bed, breakfast, dinner and spa treatment) as we did via Secret Escapes, check with hotel re availability of treatments as Spa is fully booked for months in advance and hotel could not fulfil this.

Good place to stay. I had a twin room which was a good size. Spotlessly clean and to a modern standard. Rooms do not have air conditioning so was a bit warm in August nights. Restaurant served well presented food. Breakfast was sufficient but not overwhelmed with choice. The pool is a good size and gym equipment good.
