Discover the much-loved Northfield Hotel in Minehead and it's breathtaking surrounds while enjoying comfort and high quality service. Our gardens embody tranquillity and our cuisine ensures satisfied tastebuds, you don't need to look any further for the perfect escape. The hotel is located on the lower slopes of Northhill in Minehead, in nearly 2 acres of landscaped gardens reputed to have been laid out by Gertrude Jekyll. We have wonderful views from our elevated position from the coast to the Quantocks, Brendon hills and indeed Exmoor itself.

Hotel is in need of an overhaul tired rooms and decor no maid service towels and essential items tea coffee on request also no hot water for two days. Cannot fault the quality of food and brilliant staff which were worthy of a five Star establishment. Hopefully things will improve in time as things get better after covid.

Excellent two day break at the Northfield Hotel. We were made very welcome, our room (6) overlooked the lovely walled garden, had a huge bed, a seating area, dressing table and a large bathroom with walk in shower. We stayed for dinner on the first night, and the food and service was superb. Breakfast the next day was equally as good with plenty of selection.
The hotel itself had lots of on-sight parking and was just a 5 minute stroll in either direction to the harbour, seafront or town, and a 5 minute drive to all the main routes. We were blessed with sunny weather, so enjoyed a few drinks on the patio area, soaking up the sun, in the evening there are a number of lounges where you can relax after dinner. The hotel also has a spa, the pool looked lovely, but unfortunately we did not have time on this visit to partake.

We spent 2 nights in this lovely, old hotel. Our room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities as well as a hairdryer. We had an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. All the staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. It's in a central location within easy walking distance of the town centre and seafront. It has plenty of free parking and a lovely garden. On site there's also a small gym, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool which guests can use for free. The restaurant and bar are also open to non residents.
We stayed on a half board basis and the meals were of a good portion size, attractively presented and delicious. The braised steak was the best I've ever tasted. Staff are friendly and helpful too. My only criticism is that the venetian blind in the hallway of our bedroom was very dusty and there were quite a few cobwebs on the ceiling and one of windows. However, I would still award 5 stars despite this as we had such a pleasant break.

Went with Parrys International to the hotel for a Christmas break. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was excellent different choices every night. The pool, steam room and jacuzzi worth a visit. A lovely quirky hotel that still has lots of original features which makes it more interesting than the usual modern square boxes. Nice walk through the gardens down to the promenade and town. Highly recommended.
