Stayed there many times. Right bye the beach. The rooms are clean and ok for the price. When I compare 60 per night with the cooden beach 140 per night for basically comparable rooms there's no contest. Shure there's a few extra things like a bar, (expensive)but just a very short stroll from the Northern is everything you could need at good prices. Very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Must recomend.

A perfect hotel to stay! Our room and bathroom were absolutely spotless as were the restaurants, etc. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We took our dog with us and they made every effort to make sure she could accompany us for breakfast. When we visit again we shall hopefully be able to stay here.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Northern hotel. Nice traditional family run establishment. Chris was very helpful. As soon as I walked in I felt a nice atmosphere and decided on a second night within 10 minutes. Nice room, lovely breakfast and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely downstairs lounge and bar are. Thank you all at the Northern from Shaun

It has an old world kind of charm, the atmosphere was calm and sedate as in a slower bygone era, however the food was excellent beautifully presented and service was superb. As I went as part of a large group I cannot comment on the range or the cost of the menu, we had a three course meal with coffee and mints that we had selected from a menu sent to us and cost 25 which included a service charge. I thought it was very good value. I would definitely go back again and try out the normal menu.

A lovely traditional Victorian age hotel with 40 bedrooms for both holiday makers and residents. The Northern is full of character and charm with antique furniture and grand decor throughout. A stone's throw away from the beach and Bexhill's famous De La Warr Pavilion, The Northern sits comfortably in the centre of a quiet seaside town in the heart of 1066 Country.
Run by the lovely Simms family and their friendly staff, who'll always go the extra mile to make their guests feel as happy and comfortable as humanly possible, and are always available for a chat. There are suites, double, twin and single rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and some with lovely sea views. The hotel has two restaurants, the bright and airy Garden Room outlooking the well kept garden, and The Richmond Room, a larger more traditional looking hotel restaurant, to the front of the building.
The food and service is exceptional; three course meals with homemade traditional food, and tantalising desserts finished with filtered coffee and mints, served by their excellent silver service waiting staff. The prices are very reasonable, some could say even a little too cheap for the service and quality that comes with it. As well as all this, there's the Wellington Room Bar complete with an outdoor balcony and upstairs you'll find a library and lounge, all of which are regularly used for functions. A wonderful place to dine, drink and sleep in luxurious style.
