Nice little course. Very hilly and you can't really see where you're going on some of the holes because of this but overall course was in pretty good condition and it's very forgiving.

Golf course is shocking I don't know what the green keeper does in the day but doesn't look after it muddy fairways ball plugs the greens are shocking the tees are bad needs proper land drains installed woolley park 9 hole is 100 times better play that all year round and amazing fairways and greens

Brought my son to play golf for the 1st time they had no buggies so I could not play (i can't walk too far) and his uncle was already playing so I asked him if my son could tee off after they did to see where he is at for the rude woman to shout no he can't do that I asked why? It's because other people on the round I then said he would not interrupt any 1 because he was only hitting it from the tee his uncle still on that hole then to be told he can't because he is not with a paying guest but his uncle and my 2 friends was paying guest I have been playing at this corse for years but will avoid from now on

Decent nine hole course. Tee boxes are poor but fairways and greens were good. Strange that they only accept cash as payment which is inconvenient in this day and age.

Nice location, stunning scenery. Interesting greens, nice fairways, poor tee's. First time I have played here. A fair few blind shots to play. Nice for a quick 9 holes when passing

This is a pay and play course. The fees are reasonable and the entrance to pay is very well marked out and spaced in respect of covid19. The course is well laid out. The fairways are well cut, the greens are very well manicured and run true. The course is a tribute to the green keeper and staff. The shop where fees are paid can sell soft drinks but the bar is closed. Well worth a visit. I enjoyed mine.

My dad and I have become regulars on the golf course for over the past 12-months. The views on the golf course as far as the eye can see are simply breathtaking especially on a nice day, and the course itself is challenging (well at least for us) but very well kept. The greens are in excellent condition all year round it seems, can get abit boggy in the colder and wettest months.

The only 2 downsides father golf is 1 they don't do memberships ( If they did we would have one), And 2 the 11.50 for 9 holes is a tad pricey compared to other local golf courses, that being said we will keep paying it because we love it here!. Off the course the bar is great no complaints there, the food is good and very well priced( 3.99 full English spot on) and all the stuff are very warm and welcoming.

Unfortunately I've never stayed in the rooms but sure they are very comfortable. All in all this place is an absolute Gem! and we can't wait to go back and play again. Thankyou midgley lodge. PS. Please introduce memberships!

Location is alright. Service is good. No food served and not much around the pub to the back of hotel closes down often as it's quite remote. heating and hot water sometimes doesn't come on until 5pm ish. Otherwise it's a good place to stay and even better of you wanted to play golf!
