We visited Marygreen Manor on the 25th May for afternoon tea, the whole experience was excellent from the location where there was plenty of parking spaces to the service we received from the minute we walked in. We were looked after by a lovely gentleman who told us it was his first week but he was able to tell us all about the hotel and answer all our questions.
We had requested sandwich fillings that weren't on the menu due to allergies and everything was ready for us. I have to mention the scones, they were perfect, still warm from the oven and a knife wasn't needed to cut them, just as it should be, perfect. I will definitely be visiting Marygreen Manor again and highly recommend it.

Room could do with a bit of a make over, bathroom lovely. But bath very slippery. There was a bathmat, but did not help when getting out. When booking in for a wedding our room was not ready. As the wedding was at 2. We arrived at 1. As they said we could to get changed. So had to changed in wedding party's room. We never got our key till when we arrived back at midnight. The breakfast was very good. A good variety.

Excellent service from professional team, food was great quality and reasonably priced. Range of services available was good. Garden was nice and the building has lovely character and history. Nice relaxed and family atmosphere in hotel guest lounges. Rooms a little tired, mattresses not pocket sprung or memory type, bathrooms older fittings and narrow toilet space, very cold bathroom floor.
Noise ingress from other guests in the garden or passing your single glazed window will disturb your sleep. The room dropped my score to 4 stars otherwise would have been 5 star.

Excellent hotel. Nice and cooked breakfast with good options. Hotel is a fantastic Tudor house refurbished with different rooms and restaurants available. Food is lovely and high quality. The only one thing is that we have booked 2 adults and 1 child with an extra bed for our son. With the additional bed the wardrobe wasn't opening and we have about luggage in the middle of the room, that could be a potential safety issue.
We have been provided with only 2 bottle of water and not 3. I would said these are details, hotel is fantastic. The size of the bed is a king size so I would suggest that a child up to 7-8 years old could sleep with the parents. Next time I would definitely book without the extra bed.
