Just had our 2nd stay at Luccombe Hall for the IOW festival. Again booked the garden room with hot tub. The views are fantastic. The outdoor swimming pool was wonderful, which we had to ourselves most of the time and there is a lovely garden. Breakfast and dinner were also v good and the staff are friendly and professional. Overall a clean hotel with a wonderful location. We have booked again to go back in the summer holidays.

We had a wonderful stay at Luccombe Hall Hotel. The location is perfect, the rooms clean and comfortable & the sea views sublime! Claire and every single member of staff were so kind, welcoming and friendly that we didn't want to leave. Cathy, Charlotte, Mike & Nicky in particular really made us feel so at home and are a true asset to the hotel. Dinners and breakfast are top notch.
Lots of choice, generous portions and a great kids menu! We only came home a few days ago and I miss it already. Can't wait for our return! I've noted some people saying parts of the hotel were tired. Partly true, but it's clear they are investing in making improvements- the outdoor pool area is being renovated and it's looking amazing already! As they are a family run business and not a huge chain, these things take time, and they are doing a great job of making a really lovely hotel even better.

This was a sort break for my hubby's big birthday in 2021, but due to covid lockdown last year we were allowed to move it to 1 year on in Feb 2022. Staff were welcoming, friendly and so helpful from our arrival to our departure. Breakfast was lovely, we tried the restaurant in the evening, the food was lovely, staff were friendly and was served in good time .
Our room was lovely, very clean and views were stunning. We arrived during the storm Feb 22, so sitting by the lit fireplace, reminded me of my childhood, it was so so relaxing. We want to come back when the weather will be sunnier, we want to leave our coats behind next time. Can't wait to visit again.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for my birthday and had the best experience, staff were extremely friendly, the customer service was 10/10 and the hotel overall was so clean with great views and great selection of drinks / food and activities. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning in the near future! Thank you to all the staff for a great visit to the Isle of Wight!

Appalling customer service. Booked two rooms for clients visiting the island which due to adverse weather conditions (ferries being cancelled) mean they can no longer stay at the risk of being stuck there. Called the hotel to explain the unusual situation - no flexibility at all. Manager stuck to "following their cancellation rules on the rate we'd booked" despite the unusual circumstances due to adverse weather, which would have been in her power to over rule.
Her reasoning they couldn't fill the rooms at such short notice - the hotel was not fully booked. Call themselves "family friendly" but I would argue not. We book a lot of hotels for touring clients, would never book here again.

We had a short break at this lovely hotel on the Isle of Wight. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and professional and provided clear information on the facilities within the hotel. A special mention to Mike, who worked behind the bar, who was exceptionally courteous and professional, and no request was too much. The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a large bright window.
The bathroom was extremely spacious, including a decent sized shower cubicle (no shower gel provided), and a wonderful large jacuzzi bath! Our only concern was a lack of access for disabled customers (we did not see a lift). However, the staff were more than happy to assist us bringing our luggage downstairs. The food available at the resturant was excellent, and we really enjoyed the fact that the evening menu was changed daily, and there was a wide variety of choice.
The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. We enjoyed walking around the lovely, well kept grounds, and we spent some time in the indoor swimming pool, which we had to ourselves as we used it at a quiet time. The evening singers (a different one each day) provided in the bar were a lovely touch, and made the evenings more enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this as a lovely place to stay within walking distance of the town.

Fabulous hotel, stayed here for 2 nights, very good breakfast, fabulous evening meal. Hotel looks a bit tired in places but the friendly staff and great service makes up for this. We had live entertainment tonight which was very good. Our bikes were stored in a secure shed which was great when not in use. Short walk to old town shanklin with other dining options, Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good base in the isle of white.

A great location with our balcony rooms which were modern and clean. They overlook the lovely gardens, the outside pool then out to sea. However the bar and breakfast room are tired and need updating. Staff were all so very helpful always- nothing was ever a problem. Special thanks to Cathy, Lee, Mike and Jack as well as the guitarist who sung our requests!

Just returned from a lovely short break at the hotel. We chose this hotel after a recommendation from another family member. Staff are wonderful and attentive. Breakfasts tasty and with a good selection (we didn't have dinner so cannot comment on evening meal). Our room was modern and clean, great views and really comfortable beds. I agree with some other comments that some areas of the hotel need some TLC/updating but overall the view, staff and general feel of the hotel would make me go back. Two pools outdoor and hot-tubs (and internal equivalents) are a definite bonus. Set in a nice quiet residential area. Recommended.

Brilliant stay at Luccombe Hall. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities on offer are great especially for kids (indoor and outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor trampolines, games room, air hockey, snooker). My son has some food allergies and the kitchen and staff were extremely accommodating where they went through the kids menu and isolated all allergens therby providing us with pretty much the full menu to choose from! The live music during dinner is superb. And finally the hotel has an EV charger which guests can use to charge their EV free of charge!

A great hotel and I can highly recommend the restaurant. Having just spent a week there I must say the staff were helpful, the room was beautiful and the view from the restaurant is truly amazing. They bill themselves as a view with a hotel and although that is downplaying the hotel the view is definitely a great selling point. The indoor pool, hot tub and sauna are a great way to relax after a hard day sightseeing and Shanklin has quite a few sights to see.
Family friendly and helpful it is the perfect base to explore the area. One warning if you come from Ryde on the number 3 bus do not get off at shanklin chine and walk down to the chine and back up to the hotel stay on the bus for one more stop and get off at the priory road stop walk down priory down Poppingham road then turn right and walk up the slight hill to the hotel believe me no-one wants to pull a suitcase up from Shanklin chine.

Room was clean, although a little tired, a new bathroom would much improve the experience. Terrace was unexpected, had a lovely sea view, think the rooms with the modern balcony would of been nicer but the view was all the same. Extensive grounds, and swimming pools in door and out, that need updating, but were useable. Service from the General Manager was really good on arrival and the hotel has lots of family friendly things for the children, including a Children's Tea slot in the late afternoon. Overall would recommend but would in an honest opinion it could do with a little TLC across the hotel.
