We didn't stay here but had the most amazing roast. The presentation service and location were breathtaking. Have never had a meal like it. The desserts were to die for. Staff very polite and attentive. This 0lace is definitely Exeter hidden gem.

Decent night's sleep in quiet location. We've been before so knew what to expect but has it got new owners? If so that explains my small niggles. Apostrophes all over the shop on the menu, "artwork" seriously appalling! We all know and love The Range's pictures but not in this location please! Talk about dumbing down. You get better in Britannia hotels and they're the worst of the lot. Tacky, tacky, tacky!

The place is in need of TLC! We booked a standard room with a view.and got a view of the inner courtyard. Room was small, furniture tired, shower moldy, breakfast average but hot drinks were from a machine and were absolutely undrinkable! Hotel was expensive compared to others nearby. Expected much better from Best Western.

We stayed here for 3 days and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure, there were many little touches that had been well thought out and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was nicely cooked and the couple of main meals we had were tasty and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much. The only downside to our stay was that our room and the hall leading to it smelt a bit damp which is a shame because the room and bathroom were decorated nicely and looked great. On the upside the bed was extremely comfortable and the views were lovely.

We stayed for three nights at this fabulous little hotel and it was our second visit here. You are greeted by what must surely be the most beautiful view from any car park in the country - we have several photos to prove it! It is such a stunning location, so quiet and peaceful. The staff at the hotel were amazing - everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. However, we must thank Michelle in particular for whom nothing was too much trouble and who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.

Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of cooked meals. In the evening, we dined in only once, but our meals were delicious and served quickly. A special thank-you is due to the chef who prepared one of the best Caesar salads my husband has tasted! Whenever we are in the south-west again, we shall endeavour to stay at the Lord Haldon.

Made a return visit feeling glad to have a break somewhere that feels very safe. We had lovely views from our room which was large and comfortable. Great breakfast choices and we enjoyed our evening meals. The public areas and grounds are beautifully maintained. Plenty of car parking. The hotel is well positioned for trips to the coast and Dartmoor for walking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We are hoping to get back later in the year.
