A nice hotel on the border of Wandsworth & Putney, with a short walk to the underground station. We booked our stay via Secret Escapes, and were happy with the overall outcome. Reception staff were great and always catered to our needs, welcoming and friendly. Would stay again. The only two points to have in mind. - breakfast was included in our rate as standard, however I would recommend not to book breakfast for the extra cost as it is not good value or quality.
Within a short walk from the hotel you have a selection of cafes, where you will spend less money and get a better breakfast. - From what I could see, there was no lift in the hotel so we had to carry our cases to the room, this was fine for us but good to note if you are not capable of carrying your own cases up the stairs. We arrived Sunday evening and were not offered help, but perhaps because we checked in so late, you would need to enquire before booking.

They have a staff called Ada, who isn't the friendliest, he has no training in customer service at all and has a rude attitude when speaking to guest. He doesn't speak politely but very rudely. If we're paying for 4* hotel I would appreciate if the staff were nice. He also needs to realise people's disabilities may not be visible too. He needs to learn to speak politely and not aggressively and condescending.
He also needs to learn to listen to guest when they are explaining something too. Personally, I don't think he should be working in a customer facing position as he is very rude. Also, some rooms do not have telephones so you have to call reception using your own mobile. And in some rooms the air conditioning does not work. One time I stayed in a room where the blind did not work, and the window was directly above the bed, let's just say I woke up very early to the sky waking me up.

I wasn't able to actually stay at this hotel due to the fact that I contracted Covid and tested positive a day before my trip. Although I was incredibly excited for my stay because of all the great reviews, the fact that the hotel refused to give me a refund under these extenuating circumstances shows me they don't care about hospitality or their guests.
I will make sure to let everyone in my circles know to never go to that hotel. Btw I know my name on this profile is fake (don't need google tracking everything) but the situation is not.

We only stayed for one night, but would have happily stayed longer! A great hotel to use as a base for exploring London, with the tube station only a few minutes walk away (using the district line service). The parking was definitely a great perk to have, though when we arrived there were lots of spaces, but later on, not so many. The staff were amazing, and service was wonderful - going above and beyond to make my birthday stay extra special. Rooms were clean, had all of the expected facilities including hairdryer/iron/coffee machine etc, so was ideal for our requirements.
We didn't have breakfast, or use the bar/restaurant, but the set up looked fab. We would 100% recommend the Lodge, and will definitely be making a return visit next time we head to London!
