Sitting within the stunning Mid-Wales landscape, Llanelwedd Arms Hotel is the ideal place to experience a blend of local culture and delicious Thai food. Indulge in Thai or British cuisine. Chutikan and staff will provide a warm welcome and will do their best to make your stay a home-from-home experience. This Victorian hotel with seventeen century roots is full of character; uneven walls, floors and friendly locals. We called in here on our way home from the Elan Valley for some food, and we were not disappointed.
Services
The Llanelwedd Arms Hotel is the nearest hotel to the Royal Welsh Showground, a friendly hotel run by the same family for more than five years. Offering good food and ensuite accommodation, the chef and staff have a tremendous reputation for excellent choice of food and service, it is always advised to pre-book a table.

Very clean hotel with great service, and a friendly welcome. The family room was fantastic with a double bed in one part and a dividing wall and an arch leading to a further two beds. Beautiful views of the Black Mountain and the River Wye. The breakfast was very tasty and well presented and as we took a dog, we were served in the pub area so we could have the dog with us. The pub was very lovely in the evening and the bar staff and locals friendly. Lovely area to explore and pretty countryside.

Great service, great staff, great value and great food - again! A delicious Thai and traditional pub grub selection, which is a real treat. To top it off, we accidentally left a water bottle under the table, which the owner kindly left out for us to collect the following morning as we were passing by again. A credit to a lovely town and we will be back again (and again).

Not for us unfortunately. Lovely man, absolutely spotless rooms, very nice interior, but on a busy main road with factory's, garages and a quarry all around us. We arrived at 1.40pm and was told our room wouldn't be ready till 3pm, which was fine, but you couldn't get a drink or a coffee till 5pm, not even for residents, we were told to go for a walk around the town .
The town was dead and everywhere smelled like church pews, we decided to cut our losses and we drove home. Ruined our weekend. The 3 stars are for cleanliness and deco, certainly nothing else.
