The newly refurbished King's Head conservatory restaurant is a relaxing environment to enjoy an evening. Our chefs use local market fresh produce, offering a tantalising menu, with something to suit all tastes. Our restaurant is open to non-residents and is extremely popular in the local area. To guarantee a reservation we recommend contacting the hotel in advance to make a booking.
The King's Bar, offers three hand pulled traditional real ales and is CAMRA and The Good Pub Guide recommended. A popular destination for both locals and travellers to meet, the King's Bar has a traditional old Inn atmosphere. We do not have any fruit machines or jukebox; piped music is discreetly played to aid the ambiance.
With shelves of interesting and varied books, original wooden floor, leather sofas and tub chairs, the library is an ideal place to relax. You can enjoy a large cappuccino whilst reading the early morning papers, or maybe savour one of our delicious cream teas in the afternoon. By evening, the library becomes a romantic candlelit haven to relax in - away from our bustling King's Bar. If you book in advance, dinner can also be served in here - a popular choice for many!
The Kings Head is on the High Street, which is a narrow one-way road, we are located just after the Market Building and before St Mary Street. Approach Ross on Wye from the A40 at Hildersley. Drive past the Chase Hotel on the left along Gloucester Road, at the Market Building drive straight ahead behind the Market Building and up the High Street.

Pleasant enough stay. Little tired in places but the bed was so comfortable, and the shower was really powerful. No room service so bed not made or coffee cups replaced although I'm sure we could have requested new cups. We were only there for 3 nights so maybe that's why. Rooms on 2nd floor are accessed by very sloping, uneven stairs, due to age of building so totally understandable, but not good if you are infirm or elderly. Overall a comfortable stay was had.

Ate here last minute on a Sunday evening, simply wanting any food available. We were so impressed! Had steak and pork belly, both of which were absolutely delicious and the perfect amount. Service was excellent and atmosphere inviting. Will definitely be returning in the future and certainly one of the best places to eat in Ross!
