This famous site of Nether Largie above has been surveyed and analysed by many visitors, and it has been suggested that the stones here probably functioned together as a lunar observatory. Temple Wood is yet another famous site (above left) and (above right) one of the many cairns which can be found throughout Kilmartin Glen.
The Crinan Canal stretches from Ardrishaig to Crinan. During the
summer this is an area of much activity provided by the many
yachts and boats which visit the west coast. Why not try a relaxing stroll along the canal bank, which
has been renovated recently with both walkers an cyclists in
mind.

Ate here a couple of times when staying at Kilmartin castle. Great little pub with warm, friendly atmosphere. Food is pretty decent pub grub and staff are very friendly.

Came in here after I couldn't get into another place. The staff were so welcoming that I felt it was a bit unusual actually. They didn't do anything wrong, I was just having such horrible experiences everywhere else nearby. After I shook off these unfair expectations, I enjoyed the service so much! I must say though, the food was typical pub food.

Some of the meals were somewhat inaccurate but honestly the service made up for it all. They were so wonderful to us. When it was time to leave we stepped outside and were beautifully reminded by the stunning views from this place. What a stunning spot!

Absolute gem of a pub! Delicious food and the friendliest, most helpful and informative young lady running the bar when we visited. 5 stars all the way

This is an old coaching inn near the Kilmartin museum. Kilmartin has so much local history and is surrounded by Neolithic stones and cairns. The nearby museum is worth looking at as is the church. The hotel has so much atmosphere and has a friendly well stocked bar including craft ales. We stayed a couple of nights using it as a base to dot around the area. Delightful staff made the visit for us and although it badly needs a refurb we were made comfortable and the breakfast was just great.
