This is the must place to visit for lunch or to stay during a break of journey. Just across the road to the right as you leave the station you will see the Crewe Arms. Very welcoming staff, great food breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Crewe Station has the cheapest coffee from WH Smith on Platform 5 (1.39) & the most unvisited place.further up the Platform.find The Calm Room.

It served a purpose in that we needed somewhere to sleep for the night that didn't cost over a hundred quid. Other than that it wasn't great - I think it was clean? but the 1900's decor makes it impossible to tell, the curtains, carpets etc. are so outdated and garish they burn your eyes out before you have chance to spot any dirt. The room had a TV and a Skybox, which didn't actually work until I had removed the 30 metres of electrical tape holding the satellite cable in the back of the receiver and re-bodged it myself.
The highlight of our stay was a middle aged couple who had clearly spent 3 times as much money in the bar as they had on their room, attempting to gain entry to our room. After clearing up that misunderstanding the female member of the party proceeded to collapse in a heap in the corridor and cry for about 30 minutes straight whilst her equally drunk partner attempted to persuade her to get off the floor.
She was clearly very worse for wear and upset they couldn't find their room and I can easily see why given the whole place is like a maze of stairs and corridors with no logical ordering to room numbers, it's like getting lost in the stairway from Netflix hit series Squid Game except a more Victorian era horror version. We were told we could use the lift to take our luggage up to the top floor where our room was, only to discover the top floor doesn't span the lower levels and therefore had to go back downstairs, though another maze of corridors and then back upstairs on the other side where there was no lift, wish we'd have just been told that at reception. If you can tolerate a bad acid trip, you'll be just fine here.

This hotel is friendly, warm & welcoming. As some of the reviews say, some rooms are very close to the trains. Luckily I was comforted by this, as it brought back memories of my grandad. As he work there as a driver for many years. Also all of the lights didn't work in the bathroom. So when ask them to change the bulbs, they had to ask house keeping to do it.
As maintenance don't work weekends . So this poor house keeping lady had to climb ladders, to change the bulbs. The staff all went out their way to sort things for you. Management really need to thank their staff. As this is what make this hotel pleasurable.

Hmm, I'm on the fence about this hotel. Rooms were fine and large, staff really friendly and helpful and lovely. However, the big issue is that the room was near enough inside the train station, which was very loud and busy till around 1am and started around 6. The bed also shakes when a train goes past the window. Also the window was unable to close properly(slight gap around the edges) so the train announcements were even louder, along with the trains idling for ages before being dispatched.
Only for a night for a meeting the next day, so no major problems, but I don't think I could do a longer amount of time. I'm sure the other rooms that are not facing the tracks would be much better.

Oh my goodness. The service from the staff was the best bit about the hotel. I will also say that the hotel was clean and had plenty of sanitiser stations. However in our room was a hole in the ceiling and there was no air-conditioning. So had to keep the windows open and it was horribly warm. However these hotel definitely needs modernisation. The worst thing was its right next to the train station I heard every train and all the announcements so had about 4 hours sleep.
Its a freight terminal too and one train sat outside for 25 mins with its engine running. Felt like I was sleeping on the platform itself. Would be a great stay for train spotters.

Due to a lack of water facilities at Crewe railway station, our company arranged for us to use a conference room for our work breaks. The room smelt incredibly musty and dank. I had to open two windows as it was almost unbearable, the clock on the wall had run out of battery power and showed the incorrect time. I was not impressed I have to say. If the facilities I saw and experienced are anything to go by, then in my view the hotel needs a serious renovation.

Avoid this hotel! The accommodation is nothing like the photos online. Carpets are disgusting, shower tray mouldy, dusty, dirty, cobwebs. I wouldn't put an animal in the room. We even asked for a room change and were moved to the main hotel the carpet was covered in stain. Look at the photos of guests. Owned by Chinese.

Stayed for one night as part of a long journey. Staff were friendly and helpful. As this was intended as a quick stopover, there were a few maintenance issues in the room, but these didn't bother us. Nothing major though. I think I have more issue with a twin room that only provides one bath towel and one cup for tea/coffee! Just doesn't make sense! Breakfast was really good and location ideal for us.
