In 1783 it appears that the present-day road systems radiating from Nelson Place were established. In the same year the Newcastle Council granted fifteen leases to develop parts of this area. And it is here that the wonderful story of The Borough Arms Hotel really begins, with a rather unlikely partnership.
The Borough Arms Hotel and Restaurant is conveniently located for access from the M6 Motorway and is a short taxi ride from Stoke-on-Trent mainline railway station. Newcastle bus and coach station is within easy walking distance, for guests wishing to explore the district by public transport. The major cities of Birmingham and Manchester may be easily reached in well under an hour by car, or by train from Stoke-on-Trent. Leave the M6 at Junction 16. Take first exit off roundabout signposted Stoke (N) A500.

Held a retirement party here in the king room over the jubilee weekend, brilliant experience. Let us have balloons, table confetti and the room for the afternoon. The hotel supplied a afternoon tea with lots of lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream. All staff were great, polite and very professional. Great experience

Went to my sister's wedding everything was fantastic from the bar where we first went to, to the dining room that was fit enough for royalty and the staff were so pleasant and professional that they made us feel like royalty. Thank you so much Borough Arm's for the hospitality you helped to make it a special very special day for my Beautiful Sister and Handsome B-I-L XXXX

My family of seven were in the annex apartments which was away from the hotel as my elderly mother is unable to climb stairs. So that was helpful. Very basic, small double bed, so that wasn't ideal for me and my husband or mum and dad. Coffee and Tea available with a chipped cup, take your own smellies as you only get a small soap. Shower in bath.
Breakfast was lovely back in the hotel and it was quiet as we were the only guests at the time. Staff were lovely. They didn't serve meals on a Sunday, day before Bank holiday Monday?

We got married at the Borough Arms on the 25.3.35 Words can not describe what an amazing day we had. Everything was perfect and ran so smoothly. Lara was on hand all day in the background ensuring I could concentrate on my day and not worrying about the order of the day. The food was amazing and all the staff where intentive and very friendly from the day I checked in until we all left the next morning.
The wedding suite was amazing and a lovely card and bottle of champagne was also in the room. I was able to get ready early in the morning in the wedding suite so manged to have some lovely photos. The owner Mr Sheikh was great nothing was too much trouble. All my wedding party where impressed with the wedding breakfast it was 5 star and was served hot by smiling staff.
We also had vegetarian options and children's meals which also where amazing. Empty plates all around! The DJ was brilliant and the dance floor was full all evening. If you are looking for a family friendly, value for money but no corners cut venue then I cannot recommend The Borough Arms enough. Thank you so much to our amazing wedding planner Lara and Mr sheikh we would not change a thing and we will be back to eat in your amazing restaurant Mr and Mrs Kenworthy

I've place review on Tripadvisor also. Top chefs, amazing calamari and pork bites. Steaks were perfectly cooked to our taste buds. All staff were friendly, helpful. The waitress was there when we last went remember us when I mention the amazing calamari. Male waiter was so polite and friendly also. Great team, well done all.
