At The Bear's Paw restaurant in Sandbach we take genuine pride in serving freshly cooked food, recognised for its quality with an AA Rosette dining award. To showcase our commitment to this, our cheeses all come from within a 30-mile radius of the inn, whilst the majority of our seafood comes straight from the trawler in Lancashire, whilst our delicious ice-cream comes from just 20 miles down the road from Cheshire Farm Ice Cream.

Disappointing. earlier this week, a group of nine chose the restaurant because of articles on Google that claimed it was in the top ten in Cheshire. The food is expensive and should be a better standard than we had. One of he party had duck but it was so tough, returned one of the two portions of duck and told the waitress to tell the chef it was impossible to cut with the knives provided. There were some of the party who enjoyed their food but agreed the premium price did not reflect the average quality.

Very pleasant place, good staff. Menu was extensive, Food lacking a little in quantity for the price. Food of good quality, except for the belly pork which was a little stringy and could have had a little more flavour. A little more on the plate would have gained 5 stars, having said that we had a very pleasant evening and we will be back.

Myself, my partner and our two dogs stayed at the Bears Paw Inn a few weeks ago. We wanted a country weekend away somewhere peaceful and what a find this was! From start to finish, everything about this stay was perfect. The service that we received on our stay really set this place apart from the rest. The attention to detail the staff take to ensure you have a great stay really is second to none, nothing was too much trouble and I can honestly say this is one of the best places we have stayed due to this.
The food was also phenomenal, every meal was cooked to perfection and some of the best food we have ever had when staying away. Huge thank you to each and every member of staff, it's safe to say we will be returning here for many years to come.

Arrrrhhh, I forgot to take pictures of the food, because it was that inviting I just had to eat it, on the plus side it just means that I will have to go back again! Great pub, clean super atmosphere good selection of beers wine and spirits, lovely menu big portions and smaller portions should you require one. The food is fantastic, staff are super, kind helpful and polite, keep up the good work all see you soon

Amazing! I had the 10oz fillet steak on a rock for a valentines treat, it is 30 but for steak lovers it really is worth the money. Probably the best steak I've had at a restaurant in Staffordshire, melts in your mouth and at 10oz is a huge piece of steak. My wife had the king prawn katsu curry and she loved it. Nice warm atmosphere, really nice place and food is so good!

Not close to where we live so won't lie and say I will become a regular! Popped in yesterday for a couple of pints when over that side of town and have to say probably the most Covid 19 aware pub that I have visited post lockdown. Fair play to the team for the work they have put in to try and keep the customers safe. Beer was good as well!
