Services
At the end of the road, in a whitewashed hamlet, almost paddling in the Sound of Sleat. Mountains rise, the sea sparkles, the odd fishing boat potters by with deep peace in a magical landscape. Warm Hebridean interiors, an atmospheric restaurant for lovely food with hand-dived Scallops, Highland Venison, traditional Scottish Cranachan with fresh raspberries.
Our accommodation is spread over sixteen bedrooms and ranges from individual rooms in the Hotel and the Garden House to spacious suites with incredible sea views in The Steading. There are six bedrooms in the Main House, each with its own individual character. Some rooms are wood-lined, and one has a 19th century canopied bed from nearby Armadale Castle.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel Eilean Iarmain. We had a lovely room in a separate building to the hotel with views over the loch. Would recommend requesting this if a couple; it's very nice and relaxing. We thought the food was ok but the breakfast/dinner options could be improved (which would make it a 5) but it was certainly nice enough and everyone was friendly throughout the hotel.

We had a specific reason to visit the Isle of Ornsay as a family, and 8 of us booked this hotel for a long weekend. It was great. It is always people that make a place and from the outstanding reception to the very end, the staff here were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and always quick to hep. Our rooms were good, our bathroom excellent. The lounge and dining room were very cosy, with crackling log fires.
The food was really good. Good selection of local produce at both dinner and breakfast. And despite being a relatively small place, they did very well for the two Vegans in our party. Much better than its three star rating.

We stayed at the Hotel Eilean Iarmain for 7 nights drom 21st January and it is a beautiful hotel. We stayed in a house in the converted stable which was beautiful with amazing views of the lighthouse and Highlands. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed bed and breakfast but also had most of our evening meals there too. The food was delicious, and portions were huge.
Its a good base for getting around the Highlands. The amazing views, the location, the lovely accommodation and more importantly the staff, (especially Skye, Flossie and Ben, and all the other staff, ) made this a really special break for our wedding anniversary. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing stay.

They made us feel like we were invited to a family home for the weekend, not a hotel. While the ratings say it is three stars that is very misleading - the rooms, facilities, restaurant, grounds and most if all the hosts were GREAT. Going out of their way to accommodate and make us (and our puppy) comfortable.

We called in at the bar for an evening meal here, after kindly being given permission to use their bank / slipway to canoe around Isle Ornsay for the afternoon. The staff are friendly and efficient, and there's a lovely selection of home cooked meals served up in a cosy wood paneled bar area. The mussels with ginger and chili were just "something else". amazing! We'll definitely be heading here again when we have a day out around Isleornsay. Lovely place and staff

The location is absolutely amazing! I could stay there for a month just looking and enjoying the views. The area is very safe so kids and the dog could be walking around and enjoying the shore without any dangers. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good and the staff very friendly and polite. The reason I am taking one star is because the cottage was a bit small for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids).
The mattress a bit soft and even the kids said that their sofa bed was quite uncomfortable (extremely soft). As well because of the "Covid" there was no room service, fact very annoying considering you are on holidays and the place is not cheap. In general, I could strongly recommend this place and I will love to come back in the future.

This is a great little old fashioned hotel. Our room was simple and comfortable (though slightly thin walls) with sea views from every window. The setting on the water is breathtaking, and the service for breakfast and dinner was good. It's nothing fancy, but so cozy and welcoming. We were sad to leave!
