This traditional white manor house, once owned by Kenneth MacLeod, sits in a secluded magical loch side setting at the end of a single-track road, surrounded by its gardens and a belt of beautiful trees. The remote and unspoilt Greshornish peninsula, which projects northeast from the base of Waternish, is a superb away-from-it-all location far from the stresses of the wider world, ideal for the enjoyment of a restorative break and yet central enough to enjoy all that the Isle of Skye has to offer.

We visited Greshornish House for afternoon tea and were not hotel guests. We walked in on a very windy and rainy day, and were greeted with seating next to a roaring fire. The tea and food was brought almost immediately. We had a vast selection of savory foods and desserts. We walked in ravenous but couldn't finish everything on the platter! Everything is made fresh and I reserved the tea time 3 days in advance. If you are looking for an afternoon tea high in quality, come here!

In short it is the best hotel I have stayed on. What I love about this hotel is the beautiful scenery where the hotel is situated. The hotel room we got was large beautifull decorated and with a fantastic view over the landscape. The food and service was good the. The common rooms were lovely.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. What a fantastic location, we were made to feel so welcome by Robert and Lyndsey and all the staff are so lovely. Our room was lovely, breathtaking views to wake up to. The food was delicious and we felt the price for the stay was right considering the location and special feel that the hotel has. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful hotel in a secluded and picturesque location, ideal for exploring and enjoying Skye. The catering is very good, as is the accommodation, but what really makes this an exceptional place is the friendly, helpful and welcoming attitude of all the staff!

Very much off the beaten path, but a haven found in the middle of knowhere, it's described as "Skyes best kept secret", and I can see why, I would highly recommend staying in this place before it doesn't become to "secret". Just a perfect quite getaway.

We stayed for one night and ate in the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable, warm and looked to be freshly decorated with some very nice finishing touches. The food was lovely and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The log fire was absolutely fantastic, the perfect place to relax on a stormy Scottish night. Feeding the golden pheasant the following morning was an unexpected treat

The whole team was very professional and attending to our needs. Special mention to the lady manager which name i do not remember at the moment, who did more than she was required and changed the room for us because we wanted a bath. The room felt warm and cozy. Food menu was a bit limited, but quality was definitely there. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy what isle of skye has to offer with a touch of vintage and relaxation.

Such an amazing winter weekend here. We loved the hotel itself, it's really cosy and inviting. All, the staff were fantastic, accommodating and really elevated the place. The description of a long drive from the main road via lots of sheep is accurate! The restaurant is good and I'd advise booking here your first evening because once you've arrived, you'll want to stay and relax!

This place is fantastic. The staff make it even more amazing. The young chap on bar/reception was outstanding, nothing was too much bother. Customer service at its best in a beautiful location, oh and the bed was so comfy, best night sleeps in ages. L

My visit goes back to about 1995. The evening meal had to be pre ordered and the Landlady's son played the pipes to indicate that the meal was ready. There was also a family business farming the Loch. Excellent hotel and hospitality.

Absolutely outstanding! Excellent food, service, rooms. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were shown the best hospitality has to offer, especially the dog. Towels for muddy paws, water bowls, treats and poo bags at front door and also masks (for those of is who misplace them). Dinner and Breakfast were fabulous, bedroom was cozy and comfortable. Absolutely delighted we found this place.

Lovely hotel, but we had tight room on top floor 'Orkney' in converted attic space, with no shower, just a bath with lean to ceiling above it, and shower head, not much for our money. That said, the property itself is a lovely getaway, superb dinner (oysters and lamb - wow), exceptional breakfast, lovely cosy bar, lounge with chess/fire and a fully serviced full size snooker/billiards room with proper cues/chalk/rests etc in immaculate condition and superbly maintained.

We loved that. In terms of staff and service both ladies who met us at reception and served us dinner/breakfast from Canada and Liverpool were utterly superb, polite, engaging, helpful and a credit to the service industry and the hotel. Sad to say however the male who was tending reception on the Sunday we left let the team down, more engaged in texting on his mobile phone, struggled to lift his head to say 'good morning' on our way to breakfast, his manner left a lot to be desired. Would have awarded this hotel 4 Stars otherwise.

Locally sourced products, good wine selection and very friendly staff. Would recommend pork belly dish and pigeon breasts starter. Too bad the restaurant room isn't as nice as their garden which is extremely well maintained and overlooks a loch. Would have been nice to have the option to eat on their terrace.

We had an amazing visit. The staff was lovely and helpful. The food was great and they were able to serve me gluten free food for my celiac disease. I would definitely suggest Greshornish House and we are planning to return!

This hotel is an absolute gem. Lovely secluded location, immaculate grounds, staff and service excellent. Food in restaurant was good. Rooms comfortable with plenty of character, 4 poster etc. Games room with full size snooker table. Well stocked bar with local drinks. Highly recommend this. If possible we would return here.
