Hotel was okay, but the one round the corner is nicer. Staff looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but at work, unfriendly and overall unwelcoming. Although we didn't use it, the restaurant area looked nice. Also a gym available. The bedrooms were mediocre, not overly clean and was super hot upon arrival but basic essentials were provided and you are able to request more. Quiet for it being right next to a main road. It was okay for a few nights stay

Shocking hotel, stay clear. Pictures online look ok, upon arrival seemed fine at reception. Walking to the room corridor had a nasty smell, a dog got in the lift with us, reception gave us the wrong room number spend 20mins sorting what room we was in. Finally got in the room and it was awful. Could hear people next door like they were in our room, paint on the walls was very poor and missing in places it was like it was half done, carpet three bare, broken tiles in bathroom exposed, broken curtails, sharp and really dangerous, bed was like concrete and something funky was on the carpet.

Don't normally leave reviews but we was shocked how bad this place was. Went to tell reception we wasn't happy and wanting to leave it was no bother to them. Instant refund and they didn't ever ask us why we wanted to leave. Seemed strange not to ask but glad to get out of there. Luckily we managed to get another hotel down the road.

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding, we were made to feel welcome on arrival by the reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. Aaron was particularly helpful in sorting out interconnecting rooms for us, he went above and beyond, a credit to the hotel. The rooms, although slightly dated were spotlessly clean and well appointed. We all slept well, no noise or disturbance from other guests or from outside the hotel.

Good selection for breakfast and lovely thick bacon. We really enjoyed our weekend here and would happily stay here again. Only disappointment was that the pool is now closed and we'd not realised before we arrived, our fault for not checking as it's been a while since our last stay.

Room was dark with weak lighting, decor was a 1970's "brown". Room was functional to my needs. Pity the room received looked nothing like the trendy decor room shown on their website, or the nice hotel reception area. Hotel needs investment.

Love the back to basics room -no wallpaper carpet looks like a concrete floor -reused furniture -good bed and best of all a quite night for sleeping Food is excellent in the restaurant with good service! Drinks aren't cheap but not to berserk either for a hotel. Just two quibbles -we had 2 weddings going on and a coach party in -so with front and back doors constantly being used in the restaurant was cold to sit in and secondly the plates at breakfast were cold so breakfast went cold quick -you ended up rushing what could be a really good buffet breakfast!

Not a bad hotel, some staff are quite slow in getting things done. My starter was brought with my main- so had to send back- and then restaurant forgot about it and I had to wait 20mins or more for it to be re cooked. I was also charged twice for a dinner concession balance- which I still await a refund on. Location is very good

Visited Cedar Court for a business meeting as I have done previously. I was shown to the meeting room by two members of staff. Neither mentioned that I needed to input my car reg into the parking system and no obvious signage. I've just had to pay a 60 fine. I rang customer services to be told there was nothing they could do about it, what a load of rubbish. Needless to say we won't be using their facilities in the future. Well done customer services!

Cracked sink, dead batteries in the TV remote, worn toilet seat, light not working in the room and not only do you need to pay for parking, the rate for overnight guests doesn't even cover the time period between check in and check out. I don't actually understand why they would charge guests for parking but business decisions are just that. All low grade issues but when you add them up we just weren't impressed.

Pretty middle of the road hotel. A good stopping point with adequate food and bed provisions. The room was sizable and the staff lovely. The room was also quiet with not much noise from the road or other guests in the hotel. The shower head in the room was most certainly broken and only semi fixable and the wall was quite grubby which put me off a little.

The meeting rooms were quite small, something to be mindful of if booking a business trip. The main conference room is not huge either and the staff were less on it in the main room with bringing tea/ coffee and other provisions. Overall a decent place for a stop over and to get some rest.

I was part of a coach trip. On arrival there were staff waiting with tea coffee and juice. It was so welcome after travelling all day. That was a lovely touch. Dinner orders were taken whilst we were registering. Dinner was great and not rushed. Brilliant.

No swimming Poole, grubby "executive suit" trash in stair Wells, poor standards at breakfast including sloppy looking staff, all staff very approachable though and I was reimbursed for the shoddy state of my "executive suite" still a low rating as when I stayed before there. Paying for parking in the bleak and empty car park in the middle of the Yorkshire dales felt wrong too.

There Was a swimmig pool for guest to use when I stayed a while back, but now it only exists on the advertisements for the hotel. Thanks anyway to the kind staff, but I probably won't return.

We paid 196 and expected that value for the money, however as soon as we arrived we knew something was off. There were 3 groups of smokers outside the front door, making a cloud we had to go to. Inside at the reception, there were children throwing socks (one got caught under a person's wheelchair and they dived under without talking to the person).

The spa was closed as was the swimming pool, so we expect our price was massively reduced. If it wasn't we were ripped off, if it was we were still ripped off. The room was the same size as premiere Inn, but there was no sound proofing (we could hear people opening and closing their doors, talking, and even using the loo). The room has spiderwebs, blood stains, unknown stains and mold.

I would say the beds were comfortable, but my partner woke up with bites. The only reason this place isn't getting one star is because the staff were nice and the room was useable. All in all, we paid way too much for a grotty hotel. One month later edit This review has gone from 2 stars to 1, as a month later we received a 100 parking fine even though we followed the websites instructions and registered the car on arrival. This hotel was a terrible choice and I recommend everyone avoid it.

I paid 196 for a two night stay at Cedar Court. It was in a convenient location (20 minutes away from where I was visiting) and the staff were very friendly. However, I certainly would not recommend this hotel. For nearly 200 the room was awful, various bits of the room were falling apart, the shower had black mould on and around it, concerning stains on the ceiling, hairs found in the bedding, I could go on.

The photos on the website ARE NOT accurate. What made it worse was the lack of soundproofing, I wish I had stayed at the premier inn down the road - at least there you know you'll get a quiet night. You could hear everything that went on in the room and toilet above us, and when trying to get to sleep the second night loud music was vibrating the walls.

I was really looking forward to our holiday up north but I left more tired than when I arrived. The only saving grace was the staff who were very friendly and accommodating. UPDATE: I have been sent a parking fine for 100 for my stay at this hotel. On an email regarding my stay I was told to register my car at reception on arrival, which I did. Unacceptable.

We booked a two nights stay, with evening meal first night and cream tea second in the package. Themed room, Yorkshire room. The staff, especially Tom were amazing, so helpful in the restaurant and accommodating. The room however. Fantastic concept until you looked closer, Carpet had three area with stains on them, two that were a strange yellow colour.

The bathroom sink was blocked The bed was extremely small, this was supposed to be an executive room, but the smallest double bed ever, even the fitted mattress protector was a good four inches to big. We took a pillow from the wardrobe and noticed a dark spot under the clean pilllow case, on looking it was dried blood! The window had a amazing blackout blind.

However as we faced the main road our room could be viewed by passing traffic and the houses opposite if this was up, no net for privacy. The wardrobe only had two coat hangers and these needed to be used flat against the wall on a pole due to the wardrobe being extremely shallow. No soundproofing, we were wakened numerous times during our stay by other residents having bedtime fun that clearly heard! All in all we nearly didn't stay the second night as we were so tired from the antics of other guests the night before, but the food is amazing and hence two stars!

Horrendous for any wheelchair user. Disabled accessible room was booked for us. We arrived 9pm in the eve to be shown to a room that had a bathroom that me being a wheelchair user i could not even get in and shut the door let alone get in the bath or on the loo. Apparently they only have one disabled room and that was occupied. We were shown another room that only had a couple of steps to get to, "I would have too find a ramp" the manager said! "Yes mate you would, I cannot walk at all, hence why I'm sitting in a wheelchair!" turns out the alternative room was also no good.

They did accept responsibility but we then had to find our own alternative accommodation as the couldn't find anything for us. We've followed up with them but not heard back. Totally unbelievable! 21 years I've been in a chair and staying in hotels never has this happened. Don't even ask about the alternative accommodation we did find!

I stayed here overnight for business purposes. Lovely hotel, really friendly staff and great service. Spacious room, bed was really comfy. Rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and also an iron and ironing board which was a bonus! Not far from the motorway, plenty of parking space. Food was tasty. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again

To start with I must mention Tom, he was amazingly accommodating, brilliantly helpful and incredibly welcoming. The room was nice also and the food, apart from the breakfast was generally quite good as well. Unfortunately though, the service that we received during our 5 day stay was the worst I've ever had. The waiting time for orders was on average 20-30 minutes, with the longest wait for drinks been closer to an hour.

On several occasions orders of food, drinks and breakfast items just simply didn't turn up. The bills were often wrong too, sometimes showing things we hadn't ordered, things we had ordered that hadn't arrived and at other times showing lower amounts than we had ordered. I have worked extensively in a training position in customer service and as such am generally more forgiving of staff in these situations. However, the service was so bad that at one point I thought it was an elaborate ruse by a former colleague to see how many mistakes and ignored orders I could take before cracking!

This review is intended to be constructive; clearly your staff have not received adequate training and, unfortunately they need a lot more guidance than an average staff member would usually need. Please retrain them on; - How to address customers - How to record orders - How long to wait in between checking on customers - How honest to be (I was told several times of details that I, as a customer, did not need to know) - How to present a bill - How to add items to a bill and to double check that they are correct throughout - Who has responsibility for taking an order, serving a particular table or carrying out a particular role.

I hope that this helps and that your staff receive the guidance that they need to improve. I will be returning to Huddersfield in the future and will stay elsewhere until an improvement in service is noticed in your Google reviews. Perhaps as a quick hack, ask your staff members to shadow Tom closely and observe why and how his customer service is vastly superior to theirs. Kind regards, John McNamara

We arrived all the way from Essex for a work trip and was welcomed by the most lovely staff members. This is our second stay now and has been exactly the same. They need a pay rise for sure! Always helpful and custom to your needs! AAA++ Our first stay the room was lovely good size tv, good showers, homely rooms, very clean and the mattress was so comfortable, perfect stay!

Second time our room wasn't so great room number 253, the carpet was coming up had black very old chewing gum stuck and the mattress was like sitting on bricks, we requested to move room and the staff was so lovely and moved us straight away back to our original room! We was so happy and has made our stay x100 better! Thanks to the staff members you have running the front of house and around the hotel lovely! Also food is so good we haven't eaten out yet so hats off to the chefs! Amazing dinner and breakfast every single time!

Attended a wedding here over the weekend and thought it was a good hotel. The reception is efficient and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced at 60 with breakfast. They have a nice outdoor seating area and the function room for the wedding was decorated very nicely. It was a large wedding but the service was swift.

The quality of the food was also high. My only issue was that it seemed quite corporate for a wedding and there was more than one wedding going on at once but if you don't mind that and want somewhere accessible and efficient then Cedar Court is a good option. We slept very well as the bed was extremely comfortable and the self service breakfast was well stocked and hit the spot in the morning. Overall a very good stay.

Mayo Avenue, Rooley Lane, Bradford BD5 8HZ 01274 406606 This is a lovely friendly hotel to stay in. It is classed as 4star and is based near the pennines in yorkshire which gives it a big plus. It is also based near odsal stadium and a large golf course so there are lots to be done nearby. The rooms are about 45 per person per night. There are about 100 or so ensuite rooms so it is quite large.

There are also a few conference rooms to be booked. The hotel has a luxurious feel with a gym/sauna/jacuzzi/pool and steam room all to make you feel pampered during your stay. The hotel offers function rooms for you to hold your wedding there, which they will arrange for you too. There are two restaurants - one more luxurious offering four course dinners in a lovely setting - the menu is quite extensive and a lot of choice to be had.

Or you can go into the easy-going cafe which is cheaper and offers more fast food, but, again the food is gorgeous. There is also a bar which has loads of choice in beer/cocktails and soft drinks. The staff are very polite and helpful.

A big hotel with great conference facilities. The staff were brilliantly friendly, the rooms are comfy if a little small, and the food on the snack menu (pasta, pizza and hot sandwiches) was gorgeous. I'd definitely stay there again anytime and will be doing for a convention next year.
