Croppers Arms We're an independently run pub restaurant with rooms and we are conveniently located just outside Huddersfield town centre. The Croppers Arms has a long history dating back to the 1840s and all this time later we are still serving the local community and those who join us from further afield. We pride ourselves on great home-cooked food; a lovely pint and a cosy home from home feel.

If you find yourself in need of a plate full of delicious homemade pie, fish and chips or a juicy steak, washed down with a pint of real ale or full-bodied Shiraz, we will be happy to look after you.
Services
The 'house' of the Croppers Arms was a 'late bloomer', some may say. Having only being established in the late 1830's, the then one-room drinking establishment was created a licensed premise by Mr John Booth. Taken over by Joseph/Joshua Brook in 1837, the 'house' was officially a licensed Beer House until 1845.
Prepared daily by our chefs, a fresh bowl of hearty soup, served with white or brown artisan baguette. Chicken breast stuffed with garlic and spinach butter, coated in breadcrumbs and fried until golden. Pan-fried Salmon with rich Hollandaise sauce, served on a bed of sauteed new potatoes and green beans.
We offer you a traditional bar with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a small but cosy dining room, 5 newly decorated en-suite rooms and free car parking. We are an independent business with a passion for hospitality, who endeavour to always put the guest at the centre of everything we do and ensure we make your stay enjoyable every time.
Visiting family or working in the area? We have five modest guest rooms above the pub for a convenient place to stay, whatever your reason for travel. Our rooms are fresh and newly refurbished, offering all the essentials for your overnight stay. What could be better than a welcoming pub, a home cooked meal after a long day and a friendly bunch of locals to chat to?! We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Good local pub with a buoyant atmosphere. Independently run so NOT a run-of-the-mill chain pub. Food available with a good selection of beers and cocktails. Friendly & efficient staff and parking available. We'll worth a visit if in the Huddersfield area.

This was a wonderful find. A traditional, family-run pub with rooms. Really good pub food, and a great traditional breakfast. The bedrooms are freshly decorated, warm, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We will be back!

A great place to call in at for a pint of Lager, while visiting my friend in Eldon Road. Hope to be able to go there again, next year.
