Shockingly dirty room, hair in the bed, no protector on the stained mattress, thick dust and peeling wallpaper. No hot water, no breakfast available (not that I would trust the food hygiene). Charged 139 per night. Couldn't pay me to stay here, I had to move to another hotel. When I explained my disgust, the owner shrugged. No defense for dirty rooms especially post pandemic. Check visitor photos if you want to see my experience.

The hotel was overbooked and cancelled my reservation out of the blue a couple of weeks before my stay. 100% upset about the poor service. Edited to add: The hotel still charged the full price to my credit card even though they cancelled my reservation themselves. No answer to my emails. When I called, I was told in quite a rude way that only a hotel manager could help me resolve this but wasn't there at the moment. Only way to get my money back was through my credit card company. I would avoid this hotel like the plague.

Good location close to a couple of tube stations. Room was a little Spartan but functional and did have a fridge (bonus!).

If I have an option to give freeform negative score/stars I would have given -100 stars. Not even worth a penny. Even if they offer you to stay for free please dont accept the offer. Firstly they advertise as Smoke free. this is a very big lie. as soon as you enter inside all I could smell is smoke, most disgusting smell all over. We had headache and changed the room after 2 hrs.

Even after a day again person in next room started smoking. Worst experience ever. In spite of complaining (complained 3 different person in reception) no action and they didnt even bothered to action. Secondly, unclen, untidy, uncomfortable pillow, hairs everywhere, etc etc. If you are planning to stay with family dont even think of staying there. There is none positive about the stay. We decided to vacate and booked other hotel after 2 days.

We had no hot water for 2 days, they didn't even tell us when we checked in, even though they knew. Rooms were not clean, bathroom tiny and filthy. Yes price is cheap and location good but the whole place needs deep cleaned and refurbished!

Hotel has excellent location and good breakfast. Staff is very nice and flexible for asks. Cleanliness could be better and single rooms are very very small, hence not recommended for long stay. Beds are very comfortable, if you have a street facing room you might want to get earplugs. I stayed 11 nights and despite low reviews it was a pleasant surprise. Obviously this price at that location is unbeatable.

Well.it all depends on your expectations. It's situated very centrally. Extremely run down by any standard, cramped and smells like mosquito spray. Extremely hard pillows, bed is ok, but small for a double bed. Warm water was present and functioning. No lock on windows (ground floor). Lots of noise from street outside. Breakfast ok (full English), service non existent, never a smile to see. Only book if an emergency or if you are just staying one brief night I would say.

We booked the Garth Hotel just for a one night stay and were very pleased with our choice. The room looked newly decorated as did the ensuit bathroom. There was adequate space to put your clothes and belongings. Breakfast was very nice too. I only had cereal and toast but my partner had the cooked breakfast which was very good. The bed was nice and comfortable but the only problem I had was the traffic noise as we were at the front of hotel right by a busy road.

Obviously that isn't a complaint as it's a hotel in London and you would expect traffic noise. We were both delighted with our choice of hotel and the reception staff were extremely helpful. Many thanks!

Convenient location, but price and quality aren't related. I was expecting quite more for the price. Very small rooms, tiny bathroom to the point that it makes it even difficult to wash your hands and face. Breakfast: there is only one choice and not the very best, so after 2nd. Day one had enough. It does not seem is run by professionals.

Stayed here for a couple of days and found it good value for money. Everything is within walking distance (British Museum 5 mins) and the included English breakfast was very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions.
