What's not to love about this charming lodge on the top of the hill overlooking Banff with its lovely gardens? Lunch by the open fire in the bar was courgette and Brie soup with a prawn toasted sandwich for me and a steak and ale pie with mashed potatoes for my guest. The hand cut chips were delicious as well, and gravy was delivered on request. Ainsley provided great service with local recommendations and a joke and lit the fire especially for the cold Aussie in me. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
