With so much fantastic Scottish produce on our doorstep, our menus complement the seasons and are changed regularly to reflect what's available at the time of year. Our restaurant is well worth the visit for locally sourced and freshly cooked food whilst enjoying the commanding views of the Moray Firth.
Lovely Hotel with the best views ever. Stayed in Room 6 which has been recently renovated and it was gorgeous from the new bathroom fittings to the lovely pictures on the wall which were all in keeping with the sea theme. Comfortable bed and the view from this room is amazing. We also dined in the Restuarant for dinner and breakfast both of which were top quality.
We only sell discounted tickets for Cullen Golf Club but can arrange rounds at the other courses at our discounted rates. Wildlife is in abundance across this part of Scotland. With a coastline full of cliffs there are plenty of vantage points including the Cullen viaduct with its panoramic views across the bay.

We were only in the restaurant so I don't know what the rooms are like but the decor seemed clean cut and classic. The food is some of the best I've had. The blade of beef is melt in your mouth gorgeous. Though I would have preferred a little less mash potato and more of those perfectly cooked root vegetables, turnip should only ever be cooked this way.
Both chicken and beef burgers were not dry and full of flavour, the chips were crisp and dry (in the way we all want our chips to be dry). The mango brule is a lovely fresh dessert to cleanse the pallette and easy to fit in to a full stomach so you will always have room for this one. The brownie skillet is warm and gooey in the middle though for any big chocolate lovers be aware it is thinly covering the bottom of the skillet so don't be thinking thick chocolate cake density.
The accompanying ice cream was good too. Coffee is a bit of a hit or miss with us but my latte was how I like it milky and not bitter. The cappuccino was strong enough for my coffee obsessed partner. The staff are friendly and helpful, they don't encroach but are attentive. The place was family friendly and cater to children. The prices are 15-20 a main and the view is amazing.
You could sit and watch the waves dance across the shore all day. The daffodils have popped up for spring and are a lovely addition to the grounds. By the looks of it they also do weddings and you really couldn't ask for a better back drop. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Visited Cullen Bay Hotel with my wife, four Italian friends and our dog. We asked to eat and were invited to stay in the bar as we had a dog. Very happy for that as it was a lot cozier. The bar was very comfortable, very luminous and private. We started with Cullen Skink. what a pity we didn't ask for the large portion, it was so good. We shared four main courses between six, all fish dishes.
Great size portions and scrumptious. I would recommend anyone in the area to eat there. I certainly will be back. Excellent food and service from friendly staff. There is a lot of of parking space but I don't know if less able persons can enter from another entrance as the road side entrance has steps. Very difficult to use the rest room as they are small I'm not sure if there is a disabled toilet in another area of the hotel!

View was terrific - sea view. Staff were warm and friendly. You need to know they do not clean your room, replenish towels or replenish coffee/tea unless you specifically request it. Food was okay. Would suggest change to the salmon and scrambled eggs - make it an omelette with the smoked salmon, mozzarella cheese and horseradish sauce which would elevate the menu

What a lovely warm welcome we got to this impressive hotel. I've driven past many times but today it was time to stop for lunch. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but when in Cullen what else could it be but Cullen Skink? It lived up to the hype and was the best soup I've had in a long time, just room for puds which all sounded so good I'll have to go back and try them all! Decided on Creme Brulee which was superb. Spacious, bright dining room, attentive staff and what a view.

We go to this hotel for dinner every time we are in the area, the menu is familiar the food good, the prices reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The view from the dining room out over the bay is amazing and is different every time we go. This is a traditional hotel with a set of traditional values concerning service, value for money and the welcoming atmosphere that is generated. If you are in the area please do visit the Cullen Bay Hotel.

There are some reviews telling that this is an overrated, overdue hotel that charges insane prices because they have the monopoly in Cullen and maybe there's a little truth in there, but I fell in love with it. The spot on top of the wide bay, the view from the breakfast - and the dining room, the very very friendly family-staff, the way they say: we're going to take care of you, they had me at entering the place.
I stayed here for 2 nights and just loved it. They were the only hotel/restaurant in Scotland that seated me right in the middle of the dining room on a good table and paying as much attention to my lonesome me as to couples or parties of more. Love that. Good people, great household staff as well! Thanks Cullen Bay Hotel.
