I stayed here for 1 night only. The room was tiny and in need of a total refurbishment. The whole place is very worn and tired. The walls are very thin offering no privacy from neighboring guests We did not have dinner there as we were concerned that the portions maybe small like the rooms. To make the experience worse the price paid was far to high. The saving grace was the staff they were all very nice.

Came here with my partner at the end of our NC500 trip. We opted for a petite double which was a good sized room but was very poorly lit. The room was nicely decorated and was clean, however the shower in the bathroom had dirt and hair in it. Tea, coffee and biscuits were supplied in the room along with a desk and TV. The hotel itself is confusing to navigate but is a nice size and nicely decorated throughout.
We opted for a rate which included dinner and breakfast for 2, which worked out at about 10 for breakfast each and 20 for the dinner (3 course meal). Both meals were disappointing and were not really worth the money. The 3 courses for 20 sounds like a good value deal at first however going by the prices on the menu this only saved us about 50p each.
The online menu shows that steak is available at the restaurant however the restaurant did not have a single steak to offer when we got there, the food for dinner was nice though and good for the price. Breakfast in the morning was not good, there is a continental breakfast buffet with the option of ordering hot food from the menu. I ordered boiled eggs and soldiers, my eggs arrived hard boiled.
My partner ordered eggs benedict, his egg yolks were also hard. The room allows free access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna which was nice but the pool is very small. Ample parking available, there were 2 spare spaces when we got there and the hotel was fully booked. I would visit again if the price was much lower. The hotel was nice but I feel it is overpriced for the quality and option of food on offer.

Absolutely awful! We were booked for a birthday celebration with 2 others for 1pm for the Carvery. We arrived at 1pm prompt and was advised that the Carvery was not on but we could get something off the lunch menu. We were then shown to our table, it was dirty and full of crumbs and hadn't been wiped properly. The waiter apologised profusely and gave us another table. Drinks order was taken and served promptly.
Our food order was taken at 1.10pm, several other customers came in after us, their order taken and food served, we still hadn't received ours. Spoke to the waiter who assured us that our food would arrive shortly, a bus party of about 40 people came in, still no food! At 2.10pm we checked the room that the bus party were in and they were just finishing their food.
Although the male waiter was very attentive, the female waiter who took our food order did not apologize and basically ignored us. At 2.15pm we had no alternative but to walk out, very very hungry! Really disappointed.

Went for a Girlie spa weekend with friends. Honestly could not have had a better time. The hotel is a little dated, but very clean. The spa treatments with Lauren & Jade were fabulous, as were the pool and leisure. Our evening meal was outstanding, as was the afternoon tea and breakfast. What really made the weekend however were the staff, everyone as just so friendly and jovial. It was an absolute pleasure staying with you guys. Special mention to Luke and Lauren in the restaurant, so attentive and just a good laugh.

Just got back from a one night pamper package with husband for his birthday. Hotel is dated but nice, clean and staff are friendly. Masseuse was fantastic! Gym had some dated looking equipment but was well stocked and pool was a lovely temperature. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and slept very well on comfortable bed. There were minor issues everywhere hence 4 star not 5 - grout in bathroom dark from age, peeled paint on tub, ceiling paper coming off, small issues like this throughout the hotel but everything was clean which is the main thing and we were both happy with the room and facilities for the price. Would return!

Unfortunately not very good place to stay. No style, tiny single room with squeaky bed. You can hear every single word from the next door neighbour. TV is so small that is almost impossible to watch it from the bed. Staff very nice and helpful. Nice bar and rest area. We couldn't try food and pool as kitchen and other facilities are not available when arrived after 9pm. Lot of parking spaces. Two stars only coming for the bed's duvet sheet and huge yellow mark on it! Sorry but that was just too much.

First Impressions - The place is not the most inviting from the outside however the experience improves once you've entered the hotel. It probably didn't help that it was raining when I arrived. The receptionist provided a warm welcome, and check in was carried out with something akin to German efficiency. I was checked in to a twin room which was comfortably furnished, although the bathroom was a real disappointment with mould spores growing on the ceiling.
Not good and this should be addressed. I ordered dinner from the bar menu which provided plenty of appetising choices. The food was served piping hot, was suitably presentable and it was thoroughly delicious. I can't say I had the most comfortable sleep as the single bed I slept in was too short for me, and the pillows were too firm. You can also hear the noise from the road which didn't help either.
Breakfast was equally as delicious as dinner which set me up for the day nicely. Overall the hotel staff were friendly and wanted to make sure guests had the best stay possible. The only thing in my opinion that lets this hotel down is the condition of the bathroom. Apart from that everything else was perfectly fine and I'd likely stay here again.

Came to the carvery a few weeks back, of which the food was excellent. Portion sizes are very generous if you take the carvery, and you get your choice of meat. The meal itself was excellent, but some of the staff weren't up to the standard the food was. They were all very nice, but a couple were fairly slow, clumsy and didn't have clear knowledge of the menu when they were asked about Vegan choices. Having said that some of the other staff are excellent and are extremely helpful. Overall definitely recommended, you won't have a bad experience.

Wasn't the happiest with the service, was effectively ignored for twenty minutes, however, the coffee was good and the location is decent. Looks a bit dated, but clean and tidy. Didn't eat, but the bar menu was very tempting! Would have liked to have tried the food. A couple across from me had afternoon tea, and it was impressive looking. Would have been better if it hadn't taken so long to get an espresso, but in their defence, it was an odd time of day, and I hadn't booked.
