I have been staying at the Croydon Hotel, Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon for the last 8 weeks for work. The other reviews on-line are out of date and not reflective of the hotel at present. I am a female and was staying alone in a strange town, so it was essential to be somewhere central, safe, clean and quiet. The hotel was of all these things and more.

The hotel rate was more than reasonable and less than half of the cost of most other local hotels. The hotel is family run and is a budget hotel, but with excellent service - the owner and staff could not have been more welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The hotel environment is not high end and plush which is reflected in the price, but it is immaculately clean and my room had a tv, table, double bed, heating, tea & coffee making facilities, en-suite with shower, fresh daily towels and free wi-fi and parking - excellent value.

I couldn't recommend the Croydon Hotel enough for anyone wanting a central location (10 minutes walk / 5 minutes by bus to East Croydon station) which is clean, safe, quiet and won't break the bank.
