Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting. Spacious and clean room with interesting decorations. Would be a nice place to stay for a couple days or more to relax at the restaurant/river nearby or enjoy some outdoor activities. Check out the abbey ruins if you get a chance. It was closed when I visited.

I can really recommend this hotel. Just spent 6 days here. The setting is beautiful. The grounds are excellent. The river is tranquil. The lack of road noises is most welcome to a townie. The service by all the staff is great, must mention Cameron and Iona. The food is great, don't know the chief but he is good. Rooms are very comfortable and there is a lift. Lots of interesting things to see around here.

Very grand building in am impressive setting. Staff great, friendly. Breakfast buffet okay on first morning, disappointing second morning, had the feeling they couldn't cope with numbers. Pleasant evening meal experience, atmosphere and staff good, food less so. Just expected a little more as this place has a good reputation.

Great Manor with a lovely history and authentic vibe. Visited for a second time. The rooms are spacious and clean, food very good, staff friendly. The only thing that's worth improving are the showers. would benefit from proper water stream pressure, but I guess it's difficult to organise in a historic building. Place is often full of fishermen and hunters, so it's styled in that fashion

Partner and I stayed at the hotel for a function. Was a pleasant stay! Meals we had were tasty and filling. Room was nice, airy and clean! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Couldn't thank some staff enough (Ellie and Charlotte) enough making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond with any questions we had + taking the time to make us feel welcome. Would stay here again.

Having popped in for Sunday lunch I wasn't expecting haute cuisine, just decent pub grub. My wife had the Mediterranean Salad starter and my daughter and I had the potato and leek soup. For main course they had the beef burger and chips and I chose the steak and ale pie, a firm pub favourite of mine. The starters were fine, no complaints there. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their burgers, the only criticism was that the chips were a little undercooked on the inside but very dark on the outside and not in the least bit crispy.
But the steak and ale pie.oh dear! This was without doubt the driest S & A pie I've ever had the misfortune to order and quite impossible to enjoy so most of it was left on the plate. The pastry was thick and crusty and the filling was bone dry with absolutely no gravy and the beef was dry, tough and chewy. I don't usually complain, but I couldn't possibly let that go so I mentioned it to the waiting staff.
When I paid the bill.initially about 72.the head member of staff (manager?) deducted just 10% of the price of the pie or 1.50. The Dryburgh has been permanently crossed off my choice of eateries
