Can not fault this hotel or the people who run it.a real 5 star feel but homely at the same time- that's a tricky thing to pull off and they do it beautifully. The rooms are lovely- old world charm with a very highland feel. The food is exquisite, best Angus beef dish I've ever tasted. Book early for this place- it's very popular and I can see why. What a lovely start to our adventure in Scotland. Karen and James Jones -Chelmsford, Essex

I have no words to describe this stay! It was like we were in a movie. The place was clean, the people were above and beyond nice and welcoming from the minute we walked in. We had great conversations about everything. The views were literally breath taking! I fell asleep to a waterfall and nice cool breeze. Their attention to detail on everything.
The rooms and environment were exquisite they had a welcome binder in each room detailing services and things to know at the hotel. The food was amazing! The chef was extremely nice and great at his job! Everything was homey, yet high class and sophisticated. They had a great private beach just steps away from the front door. It was so nice, calming and peaceful to walk through.

Very reluctant to give this place a low star review. It wasn't a good hotel for our party but it will be right for a lot of people. Decor dated, some may see this as cosy. Host very imposing, some may see this as attentive service, some may see it as nosy and intrusive. Make of it what you will. Breakfast was a 10/10. Wouldn't come back but can understand why some would come back every year for the rest of their lives. Take this review in the manner it's intended, trying hard to keep your stars up whilst discouraging visitors who won't appreciate it.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made our honeymoon special during our stay at this beautiful, quirky, comfortable and cosy hotel. The views were phenomenal and completely took our breath away! Christian was a fabulous host and couldn't be more attentive, making sure all our needs were met and suggesting places to visit in the area.
And what can I say, the food was stunning, served in the most beautiful dining area, overlooking a stunning Loch. Compliments to the Chef, you are extremely talented and you made it more special by taking time out to answer my questions on flavours and ingredients used. Our evening meal was presented beautifully and was superb, we couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was fantastic and made even more special with the spectacular views no matter what the weather was doing. Thanks again, we would highly recommend

A Highland Gem If you're looking for a "corporate" spa-style hotel with all mod cons this isn't the place for you. However if you are after a very warm and friendly welcome, superb food, cosy accommodation and stunning views of the Scottish Highlands, this very well might be for you. We spent five nights here, eating in every day and were offered a different menu on each occasion with no repeats.
It's difficult to choose which meal we enjoyed the most as they were all so good and oh, how we miss those deserts - sublime! The breakfasts were equally good. Our holiday was made so much better too by the owners who effectively planned our daily itineraries too, their local knowledge meant that we visited some of the most amazing locations that we would never have found on our own. Five stars doesn't do the place justice.

A beautiful lodge set in the most picturesque surroundings. A family run business which prides themselves on their customer service. We were most impressed by their incredible cleanliness, especially given the current situation. The hotel was not booked to capacity in the interest of guest safety which is admirable. The food served on both nights was incredible and catering to specific dietary requirements of our family was no trouble at all.
We all loved their fish dishes and the view during dinner and breakfast was breathtaking. The local knowledge of the owner helped us make the most of our stay and we had a productive yet relaxing time. All in all a wonderful stay where we were taken care of incredibly well and can't wait to return on our next highland stay.

We stayed at the lodge the first week in July and have previously stayed. Once again everything was perfect for us. The lodge has so much charm, wonderfully decorated throughout. The grounds are fantastic and they have their own private beach/jetty. Totally charming. The food was excellent, professionally served and presented. The covid regulations the team had in place were very well organised and executed.
You did not feel obstructed in any way by them Thank you to all of the team, James, kristians daughter in law and all of the cleaning team A massive thankyou to Kristian for whom nothing was too much trouble to make our stay a memorable and enjoyable yet again. We will be back Janet

Husband and I stayed for three nights last month. This hotel was well above what we expected. We had the room where we could hear the waterfall during the night which was very relaxing. The view from the dining room was breathtaking. Breakfast was great, evening meal also good. Something for everyone and special requests were available if food choices did not suit. During covid we felt the measures taken were excellent and we felt very safe. Planning to visit again in the autumn.

This was an unexpected pleasure. The owner meet us and said her restaurant was a 4 star restaurant. She did not tell us it was a 4 star Michel restaurant. The food was outstanding, along with the service and hospitality the staff showed us. The meal which included Wild Mushroom soup and seared Atlantic Salmon is too hard to describe. A real treat in the middle of no-ware.
