The Isle of Wight, off the East coast of England is a popular tourist destination with a large number of visitors from across the world. In recent years the town has seen an increase in visitors as the weather becomes milder and the local fishing stocks have increased. Many visitors now come to the Isle of Wight to take part in some of the summertime activities such as sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing, fishing and water skiing.
With an increase in the number of visitors in recent years it has become much more important to promote your static caravans for sale in order to attract them to your offers and to make your purchases cheaper and easier.

I rang up 31/5/22 to enquire about the room on 1/6/22 for a baby cot and booked the room through the phone. The lady did not mention the room was a non refundable room. The exact same day I booked the room on 31/5/22 I need to change my booking but they said i cannot because it's a non refundable room. I tried to complain but they said they'll call me back.
They literally called me back on 4/6/22 after the stay which is ridiculous. About the stay the view was phenomenal but the room is horrible. The headboard you can see a head shape dent. There's cracks and cobwebs in the room. The wallpaper overlap wallpapers. The bathroom sealant has mould and the corners have holes. The staff were really nice though.

Standard accommodation, however issues with cleanliness I. E dog hairs in our beds (we didn't take our pet but understand it is a pet friendly hotel so this could happen) There was horrendous staining on the beds (like the sides of the beds not where the mattress goes) that staff had tried (not very hard) to cover up with half a sheet. Old dirty looking decorative pillows (brown coloured and looked as if in spots they had been melted by heat application and were horrible in general. Floors of the whole hotel including our room (number 8) weren't clean I noticed plastic wrappers that had been left in the same spot for 2 days that didn't actually get moved until the day we were leaving and our room carpet had not been hoovered previous to arrival. Cobwebs and dust were hard to miss and the room looked like it hadn't been touched in a while, however the view we had from our room was absolutely breathtaking and was the only thing I looked forward to waking up in a moth bitten hotel.
We only got a small cooked breakfast and continental for myself once, while we were here which was abysmal which is why we didn't get it again. My partners food was dry, unflavoured/unseasoned and the scrambled egg was more milk than egg. But in all fairness in regards to my continental breakfast we did arrive late (about half hour until breakfast ended) but I did expect more I had a bowl of crunchy nut and a bit of bread that I put some honey on to but honestly not much variety, tbh I went down to the beach and paid nearly 6 for a cheese and tomato sandwich rather than try to make do with what they were providing as a 'continental' breakfast.
And regardless of arriving to breakfast at 9:30 the continental breakfast section should of been stocked up with everything as it doesn't end until 10am so there's not really an excuse for the sad display that was on offer. We found SOME staff RUDE mainly the ones that were on shift the first day we got there and the staff the next morning, unfriendly and unprofessional (wouldn't speak to you as you were passing, didn't reply when we said hello in passing and general demeanour and attitude especially when we first arrived at the check in desk.
But regardless of all of that we didn't spend much time in the hotel and it was extremely close to the beach and a lovely walk from said hotel to the sea. Runswick Bay is a beautiful place to go for a break so we were quite happy regardless, however if we were staying any longer the state of the room and hotel would of been an issue. Which is why next time we will find another more suitable hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the location and view over Runswick Bay; if you're an early riser like me you'll be treated to some of the most stunning sunrises. It's a fairly steep walk down to the bay but absolutely charming. The hotel itself is badly in need of a cash injection, obviously hasn't been tarted up in some time and run on a skeleton staff. Having stayed before I knew better than to have the breakfast which is cheap, bought in stuff.
The staff member that checked us in even looked vaguely embarrassed but still friendly. The room itself was dusty and dirty, hole in the wall, duct tape over an electrical socket, missing handle in the bath (which fiance also cleaned before running for me) grimey areas which need a deep clean rather than a surface wipe. Having said all this, I would still stay again as when I'm on a budget it's worth it just to see the beautiful surroundings, which I'm sure is really the only pull to this hotel.

We booked a superior room with a sea view the view was beautiful. The hotel was showing signs of needing updating. The room was clean enough but could have done with some TLC the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful and always polite. Breakfast was good value the first morning we had a full English plus a continental was included in the price so there were plenty to choose from, on our second morning we ordered a small English also continental included in the price, both were lovely.
We book an evening meal which we enjoyed. It's a lovely place to stay, beach near, the walk to Staithes on the cliff top, there's a bus stop a short walk up the lane that goes to Whitby and other resorts just a short drive away. The hotel just needs some money spending on it and it could soon be a 5 star. We would stay again had a lovely break.

The staff were extremely attentive and couldn't of done enough. Clean room. Tea and coffee, as much as you'd like. clean bed linen and towels, shower gels ect. cooked breakfast and evening meals catered for and cooked to perfection! All staff had excellent customer service and always asked how our meal was ensuring satisfaction. The views are beautiful, you can sit outside where there are seated benches in a well kept area. Nothings too much for the staff in this hotel. It would be nice to return soon. Thankyou to all for a pleasant stay. Jennie and nick :

About 10 years ago this place was great. Recently refurbished, great food, and with the best views of Runswick Bay. After a recent stay I can confirm that the great views remain, but everything else has declined significantly. Worn carpets, poor decoration, a pervading odour of deep-fat frying throughout the entire establishment and really really terrible food. Such a shame as the location is incredible. Could be do to the hotel going to new ownership a couple of years back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cliffemount Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was warm and comfortable. It was not advertised as having a sea view but the ensuite window and a velux window did actually face the sea. The position of the hotel on the cliff top is excellent and Runswick Bay village and beach were lovely. We also had good breakfasts (full English and Continental.) We booked through OYO which gave very good value. We definitely hope to stay there again.

Two stars given simply because the location/views are good. everything else is a disappointment. Very run down with missing lamp shades, sockets taped over with gaffer tape, rooms not cleaned when out for the day, strong smell of old cooking throughout the hotel, fire doors propped open, pot holed car park. Young staff who try to do their best but need training in basic customer care.we weren't even asked if we enjoyed our stay on the morning of check out. Very expensive for a very run down hotel compared to the many great choices in Whitby a mere 10 minute drive.

Sorry will never go again. Run by youngsters who although trying to do their best, didn't have much idea how to run a hotel. The food was atrocious, breakfast at 10 was diabolical, evening meal very poor. No atmosphere in bar or restaurant. The actual room was ok, but a total of 4 light bulbs needed replacing, Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, there was no television anywhere in the hotel so this didn't help. Only 4 guests so really dead. Would not recommend, and a shame because could be a fabulous place.
