Great experience with family there. Position is super and facilities superb. Plenty of things to do if it rains or the weather is not the best to go around. I would have only appreciate a bigger choice in terms of continental breakfast otherwise english breakfast is very good. Highly recommended!

Came here for a two night stay and found the staff here are absolutely amazing lovely people the only thing that let's it down is the rooms are tired and it wouldn't hurt to get a a carpet cleaner in and do the stairs. But if you don't mind a very tired room. and filthy carpets. The staff here will truly move mountains for the gusts and they should be truly glad to be so lucky to have them shouldby valued by the hotel owners

For the money, all you can expect. Very good meals, a good choice, truly excellent service at table. All facilities are on site. There are bars for 'party time' and quieter areas, a good blend for a variety of customers. Pool, bowls and indoor games, and for outdoors you have Torre Abbey, shops, plenty to see further afield.

Fab food very disappointed pool area not made ready for may and not made aware of this on booking dirty pool would have loved outdoor swim as weather fab not given correct room on arrival having paid for Riviera view but did get it changed

Stayed here for TapUK Festival, first time since 2019. Lots of new and very young staff who have quite a bit to learn. That said, I do like staying here and will be returning later in the year. This time I was staying for an extra night and went to see a show at the Princess Theatre which is a short (15 mins?) walk away.

In the restaurant food served just warm. Staff very helpful and clean. Albert's bar dirty, food on floor no antibacterial used on tables eventually wiped with the same dirty looking cloth on all tables and then not properly wiped. Never again. Wouldn't give it a star.

Another visit with a number of members of our short mat bowls club. And without exceptions All agreed it was a fantastic week. Food was very good staff helpful and organised bowls went without a hitch. Many thanks to all concerned. All ready sorting next year's that will be our 5th year. Staying in the Victoria Hotel. Booked this to celebrate an 80th, 65th & 13th just before Christmas. Was a bit concerned about some of the reviews regarding the food & rooms especially given the price I was quoted. Honestly needn't have. worried. Food absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for the Staff. Amenities great as we were a family of 13, ages ranging from 5 to 80 years.

Something for all! Pool complex great. Entertainment a bit hit & miss. Rooms could do with updating and ours was a bit too warm even with the radiators turned off but overall can't complain for the price we paid. Will be back.

Favourite hotel ever, friendly, kind caring we have been coming here for over 16 years and cannot fault the all round service.

Yet again another fab new year stay at tlh excellent entertainment excellent food and plenty of it and the staff very helpful and friendly

Nice hotel loverely staff games room swimming pool in and outdoor kids playground ten pin bowling sauna solaruim and jacuzzi food good 8 out of ten. The hotel is a old victorian hotel needs some money and in need of some tlc im sure they have got this planned in there winter maintenance entertainment like the west end full floor cabaret show excellent local ales and pub prices rooms big.

Enjoyed my stay at the Victoria hotel. We had a room which was sunny and bright, bliss. The only complaint we had about it was the shower head had a mind of it's own and flopped everywhere, and the toilet didn't really want to flush. Otherwise the food and staff were great and the hotel was lovely and warm

Nice hotel and some really great facilities. All the staff I spoke with couldn't do enough to help. Only down side is that the site felt a dated. Worn carpets etc.

Great five days away on a Dance break with Claire and James Taplin. A lovely friendly hotel. Good food and comfy rooms.

Everything about the place was superb, room size, food especially was good, staff very friendly and helpful, would certainly come back.

Just returned from a week at the Derwent. Absolutely fantastic stay at a wonderful hotel complex. Great amenities, for all the family. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, with a massive. thank you to the staff of the games room for their help when my wife had a fall and hit her head. Will certainly return again next time we head to Torquay

Stayed here for a week with my partner. We stayed at the Carlton. Overall it was an enjoyable week. Location and facilities are great. The staff are friendly for the most part but don't take any slightly negative comment well and become a little defensive. The rooms are dated, but was clean and decently sized. The beds are uncomfortable and the mattresses need replacing.

The tendancy to name foods/treatments things they aren't to make them seem more enticing is rather annoying, ordering a carbonara to receive penne pasta with Alfredo sauce being an example, upon mentioning it I was told its a British carbonara? This place has great potential and can be a gem, but it seems like it hasn't been given proper TLC in a couple decades.

Couldn't visit last year so rebooked for this year. Everything is as normal as small restrictions allow, you need to book swimming etc. The staff were excellent as normal & glad to be back. We had an apartment facing the sea which we'd pre ordered & it was very comfortable, so we've booked again for next year. The restaurant was impressive with a huge atrium in the ceiling in the Victorian style & the food was plentiful & delicious, high quality breakfast ingredients & dinner was something to look forward to. We look forward to next year.

We decided to book TLH resort as I visited over 20 years ago as a teenager and felt it would be a good option for my 3 children. Great location close to the seafront and a short walk to the harbour and shops. The hotel has good facilities for everyone to enjoy. Swimming pool indoor and outdoors, loads of bars, arcade and bowling which is all great, Breakfast is okay - a bit of a farcical system having to use the same table each day only to find other people say their each time you arrive and very limited options.

Parking is the biggest negative, free for all with people taking up 2 spaces at a time. Rooms need to be able to open windows during almost 30 degrees heat as only 1 small fan was provided for a family room. Overall great holiday just the few points above. See you in another 20 years!

This is a lovely place asxwe gad the weather to use the outdoor pool, good amusements, indoor pool but sadly the place looked very tired, carpets were thread bare around the hotel and were very stained in our apartment. A good lick of paint and new carpets and I would have given it a 5*
