Great relaxing atmosphere in hotel. Nothing too much trouble for staff with any help we needed. Food was delicious. Especially the lamb shank I had one evening. Breakfast options covered everything anyone could ask for in my opinion. The bacon was the best I have had in a longtime. Room 108 with two large windows overlooking sea was great, very big.
Plenty of seating. To be able to hear sound of sea when lying in a very comfortable bed was so lovely. Does need some updating but we would certainly book this room again when back on Anglesey. Good value for money.

We called in here to have some lunch with our dog, as it was dog-friendly. We left after about 30 minutes, because we saw no one after being shown to a table in the main eating area, that was not much more than a coffee lounge. The reason we left, was because no one even bothered to bring us a menu, let alone take an order. We were completely ignored! Shan't be returning.

We have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel and most definitely will not be returning. It is not worth anywhere near the cost! We paid 366 for the three nights bed & breakfast in a "comfortable double room". We knew when booking it would be a basic room but for the price we expected more. The room was tired looking with damp patches on the ceiling, mould in the bathroom, ripped lino flooring, paint in the bath tub and the shower door didn't close.
The shower itself was rubbish and the water kept going from hot to cold. It's one thing being an old listed building but it's another when it's run down and a bit grubby. On arrival we were advised to put the sign on the door if we wanted housekeeping to clean the room, which we did the next morning. After returning from a day out housekeeping hadn't been.
I asked at reception to be told "they were up there and I'll make sure it's done." It wasn't, so we asked at reception that evening for toilet roll and for the tea and coffee to be replenished and the receptionist said she would bring it up. It never arrived. The next morning I called reception with no answer so I emailed to request the toilet roll again.
No reply and it didn't arrive. We had to ask again at reception when we went down for breakfast and finally got it handed to us. The room was cleaned after the second night. The hotel is in a good location but with this comes the noise from traffic and people in the town. The room was so hot and stuffy but it was too noisy to have the window open due to passers by shouting, beer deliveries from 5am, traffic etc.
It was bad enough with the window closed. There was a fan in the wardrobe but it was broken. The walls are paper thin and we could here every word of the couples next door's conversation. We were unlucky to have noisy people in the room next door, we were woken several times in the night so it wasn't just the noise outside the hotel but inside too.
Breakfast was ok, better on the third morning. We found most of the staff friendly. There were a lot of signs saying they were short staffed but we didn't have any issues with being served. We have stayed in hotels that are lot nicer for a lot less money so would not recommend this hotel.

I was gifted an afternoon tea voucher for my birthday in October and finally got to use it yesterday, oh boy was it worth the wait! From the first point of contact to the second we left everything about the experience was superb. The staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, not just at the beginning but periodically throughout the lunch.
The food was beautiful, well prepared, well presented and very tasty, I can highly recommend the white chocolate cake bar (I don't know what it was called but it was divine) we left feeling well fed, well looked after and very relaxed. The staff are a credit to the establishment, obviously very good at what they do, attentive without being intrusive and genuinely wanting you to have a good experience with them.
I have to add that at the point of booking I made the lady aware of my tricky dietary requirements (vegetarian allergic to peppers, yep, that's me) and they were fully informed of that on our arrival and had made certain I had no issues. I could waffle all day about the relaxed atmosphere, the no pressure to get finished, the amazing views while eating but I think you really have to go and try it to appreciate the experience (it is also excellent value for money as buying a sandwich, cake and drink elsewhere has cost us far more in the past and this was so much more than that) We are already planning our return and have vowed to make it a regular treat for ourselves when I am on the island.
Thank you to Lorraine and a gentleman who's name I did not get (unfortunately) for making my treat extra enjoyable, and to the lady who took my booking for ensuring my requirements were passed on (rare occurrence sadly). I will be back soon.

What a gem of a hotel! Wonderful food at breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea & lunch! Very welcoming staff across all levels and professional too, they do go the extra mile for you. We had a leaky shower & this was replaced the same day, the staff clearly love this hotel too & want you to have a great time. Beautiful surroundings, pictures, paintings, furniture, fittings, lovely antique and modern gifts available to buy, we found a loving little globe we had been looking for for ages! Perfect!
We had a modern room, very nice, spacious, modern bathroom with fantastic large bath, lovely toiletries and towels. The hotel is grade 1 listed and does need updating in some areas but the hotel are in thd process of doing this. Looking forward to coming back with our family, thank you for a very relaxing stay.
