Bishopsgate House Hotel This 18th Century Georgian Town House is believed to have been built as a Dower House for a local wealthy family. Now, fully restored and adapted for use as a small hotel, Bishopsgate House Hotel provides an ideal opportunity for holidaymakers and business people to relax and be pampered in comfort; enjoying delicious freshly prepared food, elegant rooms and friendly hospitality.

Many items of antique furniture, as well as collections of glass and china adorn the hallways and landing. Perhaps the most important original feature of the house is the Chinese Chippendale staircase, believed to be one of the finest in the country.
Services
Each one of the nine en-suite bedrooms has its own individual character. Modern amenities have been blended with antique beds and carefully chosen decor, to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Two four poster bedrooms are available for that special occasion. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities (bath or shower), remote control colour TVs, trouser press, radio alarm, hair-dryer, tea/coffee making facilities & complimentary toiletries. The residents lounge which retains its wall panelling, provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy coffee and liqueurs and perhaps a chat with other guests at the end of your day.
In our AA Rosette awarded restaurant, all meals are freshly prepared by our Chefs, using local produce wherever possible. Two menus provide a wide choice, including fresh local Fish, succulent Welsh Lamb, Welsh Beef and Gressingham Duck. The number of local people, who regularly use the restaurant, bear witness to the quality and value for money provided.
We are also committed to incorporating a sense of place when promoting our offering and we celebrate Anglesey on all occasions. We strive to strengthen the reputation of Anglesey as a food destination and we support and contribute to other campaigns that also seek to do this'.
In addition to providing excellent meals in the hotel, our rosette awarded Chefs also offer the same high standards in your home, office or function room. Menus should be used as a guide as all catering is bespoke to suit individual requirements. We like to cater for each occasion individually and work closely with our clients to provide exactly what you have in mind.

Great place to stay. Great staff, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. We where in room 1 which was great and quirky with the slanted floor. (only because of the age of the building). Only down side was the room needs a refresh. looking tired now with a few maintenance issues. Id also like to say thank you to Sara for her great work.

Can't comment on the rooms as only went for food. The meal was lovely and welcomed our dog in the bar area. Definitely worth a visit. Also have a children's menu

Lovely. Busy, because they're popular and good but despite that, everyone was really polite and welcoming. Excellent room and breakfast. Wonderful for dog owners, friendly and helpful staff. Recommended!

What a little gem! Our room was spacious and the large ensuite bathroom had a jacuzzi. Food was excellent. Parking is slightly tricky bur largely owing to other guests being inconsiderate.

Really nice hotel, all the staff went out of their way to help, and make us feel welcome. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had a meal on the first night which was excellent. Breakfast was good too. Would love to stay here again soon hopefully, and would definitely recommend.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean everywhere. we liked the decor as it was mixing traditional and modern. lovely welcome with lots of personal touches to make our stay extra special. very comfortable beds and fluffy towels. we had dinner included on the first night and we were so impressed with the food (i am a retired chef) that we ate again the second night and weren't disappointed.

The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice, no wonder the have won awards year after year. we will most definitely be back here again. The owner is great and has a great sense of humour!

We booked a meal for 4, This place is expensive so we were looking forward to it. Sadly it didn't live up to much 3 Turkey dinners little gravy, no mashed potatoes, no cranberry sauce, the Turkey was awful, fatty and boney so much so that my partner ate 3 roast potatoes as the rest wasn't up to anything even the veg was hard. All in all a simple but expensive meal turned out to be a poor example.

Just no atmosphere as well. Very boring to be truthful. If this place wants people to return then get it right it's as simple as that. All 3 of us can't be wrong. Very poor we won't be returning.

The town of Beaumaris is very pretty with lots of quaint shops, all beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bishopsgate hotel is situated on the Main Street yet next to the sea, perfect for lovely walks and visiting the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the rooms are a little dated but bedding was beautifully clean and bathroom had bath/shower which was lovely to have a soak after our 9mile walk earlier.

Parking is available at the rear of the hotel. We had a Travelzoo voucher, which included a contribution towards the evening meal. Usually we tend to choose a local restaurant when going away, as hotel dining rooms sometimes disappoint.but this hotel was the exception.our dishes were cooked perfectly and well presented, the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous too, lots of choice.kippers, porridge, full English, fresh fruit, etc. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and will return.

We were seeking a dog friendly hotel - Bishopsgate House is definitely that. The hotel does limit the numbers of dogs staying on any night however that is sensible. The room was spacious with a large bathroom which helped give our dog some space. Having a room on the top floor wasnt great for the dog however that wasnt the fault of the hotel though if stairs are an issue this should be noted.

We could also eat in the bar, which was again comfortable and spacious for our dog. Lovely food. The staff were great and were also very dog friendly - special call out for Amy who gave our puppy loads of great attention.

What a lovely stay. We couldn't fault it, we brought our two rescue dogs. The room was gorgeous, the dogs were not a problem for a minute despite their bouncyness. Breakfast was top.notch. We can't wait to go back. The staff were lovely.

Excellent! Good quality food cooked very well. The menu choice was varied with some classics and some new dishes. The restaurant isn't modern/chic looking but it is cosy with friendly and professional staff. We would definitely go back.

I have eaten out at many restaurants, but tonight's food was cooked brilliantly and with some love! A great place to eat - fantastic value, great staff and good atmosphere. Well worth going to and the best restaurant I have been to in a very long time!

Right in the heart of a beautiful seaside village. Parking space for our motorbike at the back of the hotel. We stayed in the deluxe bedroom which was large and had comfortably 4 poster bed.from our bedroom you could see the small pier, the sea and the mountains beyond. Breakfast was varied.on the menu you could have for example full welsh, croissants or smoked haddock and evening meals were of a very good standard and reasonable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would definitely use this hotel again.
