Cool spot we headed to after Howe Caverns. The owner is very friendly and came out to greet us and give us some info on the history of the building and the area. Fun fact this spot is also known for paranormal history/activity; Aside from that the service and food was awesome - burgers, fish and chips and particularly the fries were a highlight

My boyfriend proposed to me here! The staff worked with him to make sure everything went as planned. They all were so friendly and great. The food was amazing! We will be back again and again!

Two fish and chips to-go and we're already itching to drive the hour for another visit. The fish was so incredibly fresh and the batter was perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The tarter sauce and coleslaw were good and the fries were plentiful. The inside looks beautiful so I want to return and dine-in. Highly recommend for anyone craving fish or looking for a luxury dining atmosphere without those luxury dining prices.

Stopped in for an early dinner, opted to share the Eggplant fries (photo included) and ordered the Sampler Platter for two, with ribs, smoked brisket, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Overall a delightful experience with great and attentive staff all served in a warm, historic inn. Never saw a ghost or experienced anything paranormal.but really now, that's just fine, lol.

Service was excellent and the food was delicious. The Bulls Head Inn had a charming atmosphere with a rich history. If you are in the area I would highly recommend you visit. The appetizers were great. The create your own masterpiece (burger) was excellent and had a variety of different toppings to choose from. Even the fries were truly remarkable. Finally, the appple crisp was the perfect way to complete the experience. Rachel, our server, was attentive without being overbearing or obtrusive. I am very much looking forward to my next visit.

First time in town for a getaway weekend. I am originally from Argentina, but I live in Manhattan, and my boyfriend is from Orange County, NY. We loved the town; glad we decided to go to bill's head for dinner last night. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great history. Food and service are excellent! We definitely will come back!

We stayed at the townhouse, part of Bulls Head across the street. Convenient location, easy check in/out, good service. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The main property has great character and we enjoyed our meals. Literally the only thing I was bummed about is that we couldn't open the room window for fresh air!

First, there are two restaurants: The Loft, upstairs with a fixed price menu, that we did not go to; and the Brasserie, that we did go to that was downstairs with your tradition style menu. The selection was good and the food was excellent. The wine menu was average, with a selection of 1-2 of the main varieties. If I had one negative comment, it was that the staff was under trained.

I ordered the mussels and clams and had to ask for a second bowl for the empty shells. No big deal. But when we ordered the wine, the waiter brought over the bottle opened, put it on the table and walked away. No opening it at the table, letting someone sample and making sure it was alright. The two women at the next table experienced the same thing except they called the waiter out on it. But, as I said, the food was excellent.

Anglesey is the most beautiful island in the world. Wales is like that, isn't it, a place of superlatives. The Bull's Head, a pub, a restaurant, and an inn deserves superlatives. The sheets are ironed, the kippers are fresh and the setting is the best it could be. The young staff's friendliness and good will make up, for their lack of sophistication.but who wants sophistication in a pub? Beaumaris is not the most Welsh part of Anglesey-go farther a field to Llangoed or Llandonna for that-but the place with castle, mountains and sea is as close to a Platonic ideal as anyone can imagine. Just look at their artists-Peter Holloway, Karel Lek. Or stay at the Bull.

This gem of a pub and Inn rests in Beaumaris in Whales. The pub dates back to the 1200's and serves up a great pint of Welsh Ale. The rooms above the pub are charming and the modern rooms across the street are very unique each one color matched with decor and lighting. The food is excellent and breakfast is a full English affair. Situated just one block from the Castle and the bay, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay while on the Isle of Anglesey.

Great pub with loads of character and an odd mix of nick-nacks scattered around the bar. Didn't have time to sample the food but the main restaurant is up-Market at 40+ for 3 courses, with an interesting menu. The bar menu pricing is more typical, but again looks nice. Recommended.

On passing you could be mistaken for thinking that Ye Old Bulls Head is just your standard run of the mill Local Pub - the exterior is rather uninspiring there is nothing to suggest that its anything more than a traditional Village Pub However On entering you realise that this Pub / Restaurant is in a different league. Whilst I have not been fortunate enough to eat in the main restaurant I have eaten in the Brasserie on many occasions and each time have thoroughly enjoyed my meal and been delighted with the service. Whilst the Public Bar retains its Traditional Coaching Inn Style, with low ceilings and interseting nooks and Crannies the adjacent Brasserie is contemporary, mixing slate and stone with floor to ceiling windows to create a Modern & Airy feel.

It feels very homely, almost as if youre stepping into a friends Kitchen or dining in your Conservatory. As suggested tha Brasserie does get extreemly busy and there is often a wait for a table, but the staff are extreemly professional and will call you to be seated as soon as they have a space. They offer a vast range of tempting food, using fresh local products to create a mix of British Favourites along with some more exotic Far Eastern dishes.

With so many tempting dishes and always a good selection of specials it is often difficult to choose - but amongst my favourites are the Homemade Scotch Eggs, Fish & chips with Pea Puree, and Chicken Stay Noodles and for seafood lovers you must try the locally caught Menai Mussels. Everything is cooked and prepared to a very high standard and considering this the prices are very reasonable - with main courses starting from around 9. It's well worth travelling to the Island to experience the delights of The Bull - Beaumaris itself is a lovely quaint Seaside town so its a perfect excuse for a day out finnished off with a beautiful meal at the Bull.

Next on my To-Do-List is a meal in the Restaurant I always have a peak at the Menu when i'm in the Brasserie and am often tempted by the Set Menu and judging by the reviews here I'm missing out!

I highly recommend the food. I have eaten in both the brasserie and the restaurant. It is not possible to book for the brasserie and in the evenings is only open from 6-9pm so I suggest that you arrive early to ensure a table. If it is full they will take your name and you can have a drink in the bar whileyou wait fora table. The decoration in the bar is very old fashioned but in the brasserie and restaurant it is contemporary with wonderful ever changing flower arrangements.

The food is good you will need to order side orders of vegetables in the brasserie as otherwise the main courses will not be sufficient on their own. The food is beautifully cooked and the service is excellent. You can make a reservation for the restuarant and you are ushered into the Guests' lounge to order and take pre dinner drinks. This is a very comfortable setting. The food in the restaurant is excellent and there is an extensive but rather expensive wine list. It really makes you feel that you have had a special night out.

Unquestionably, the best place to eat in Anglesey. Beaumaris itself is a lovely little town, with a fantastic moated castle to visit. The Inn dates from 1472, although it has been extensively rebuilt down the years - most of you see now dates from the 17th century. Charles Dickens and Samuel Johnson both stayed here, among others, so you're in esteemed company.

The bar is the genuine article - wooden beams, historic artifacts, roaring fires, excellent service and a very good choice of well-kept real ales. Even if you don't stay here, it is worth having a pint here. The restaurants are superb (I've only eaten in the restaurant but I am assured the Brasserie is equally good), focusing on fresh, local ingredients.

Dinner at the restaurant is 35 for three courses, and the wine list is extensive, with some good value reds and whites starting at around 20. Service has always been excellent. The only quibble I have is the decor - the modern makeover just doesn't work for me (the Brasserie is thankfully plainer). I'm a bit more equivocal about staying here: the bedrooms are comfortable and nicely decorated in the traditional style, and named after Dickens' characters.

But some are a bit small and, as they are priced per room, very expensive (100+ for B&B) with single occupancy - better value for couples. And the location can be a bit noisy, as it is right on the high street, and there's no car park. But the resident's lounge is lovely (roaring fires, again) and service (and breakfast) is very good.
