Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. We were shocked as the hotel has no disabled facilities at all. Not one disabled room or toilet. No disabled access. It has small ramp but could not get up it with my small scooter. Friends had booked it, I was silly I should have checked myself. I knew there were a few steps to the dining room but was certainly shocked at the lack of disabled facilities.
Manager did offer help to lift it in or out which was very kind and thoughtful. I can't say what the breakfast or food was like as my husband went to hospital the evening we arrived. Night manager was fantastic but being disabled I was totally stranded I could not get into the gardens or leave the hotel. I left the next day but have to say the staff were brilliant bringing me endless cups of tea and helping me with doors so I could go to our room. We were really looking forward to spending a few days here even without the facilities as staff were great. Would definitely recommend if you able bodied.

Absolutely fabulous location, with lovely walks straight from the hotel along Shanklin Cliff Path leading down to the seafront. The reception, dining area and pool are at a luxurious standard. The staff are amazing and super helpful. Food was out of this world a true taste sensation at the dinner table. Our only slight moan is our room although clean was very dated, very 70s 80s. I totally understand the hotel is being updated I believe, so hopefully our next stay might just be in an up to date styled room. All in all a lovely break away.

Well maintained and lovely public / bar areas. Pleasant staff, good service too. However there is no WiFi in the rooms which didn't bother me but really did my step son, sadly it's expected in this day and age. Lastly the bar prices - 6.75 for a pint of cider is really expensive given the average on the Island seems to be around 4.30!

For cleanliness and breakfast I will give them 100. There was no hand tissue in the room, they said my room had garden and pool view but I got a view with boundary wall whereas I will say its not worth of 108 pound per night. Swimming area was absolutely dirty, changing room closed, shower wasn't working. They didn't say anything before we go to Swimming.after waiting more than 30 minutes someone will come to fix the shower I went back with my kids in the room.
They didn't apologise for this. Poor stuff management and poor behaviour. In the room there wasn't WiFi, there was nothing mentioned about it on booking site. I will never go back there again and also will not recommend anyone

Highly recommended. The best food we've had on the island. Very attentive service and incredible value for money; they should be charging more! We would have happily eaten here every day of our visit. We will be back next time and have already advised family to make a trip when they next visit. Simply brilliant. Well done!

Wow what a gem of a hotel!. We stayed here for a few days and what an amazing hotel and location. Frank, Roger, Danielle, Chanelle and Sara were simply amazing, they made our stay very special, always available for any questions. They were very helpful in recommending restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. There are so many hotels and B&B in the area and it's very hard to decide on where to stay, but we were all so happy to stay here. The breakfast was included and it was a five star breakfast and service, very clean and excellent fresh food. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

Somehow a simultaneously cute, modern, fancy, homely and friendly hotel. Excellently friendly and helpful staff! Has board games and sitting area, restaurant, pool, sauna. Cute, clean and comfortable rooms. On top of cliffs in Shanklin, so excellent seaside views. Excellent coastal but central to town location. Highly recommend!

Staff were very friendly and attentive, breakfasts were well cooked and plenty of it. The first bedroom we stayed in had a problem with the window but when we made it known to the staff we were offered another room straight away no problems. Much bigger to. Both rooms were a little tired if I'm honest, in need of a lick of paint and some repairs.maybe going so late in the year things don't get done.
Other parts of the hotel may, I would hope, be in better condition. Some clients have been going for many years and enjoyed their time at the hotel. As with the town some investment may not go amiss. We had a nice time at the resort. We wish the Brunswick all the best for the future and the staff keep doing what you do, hospitality is a hard job but can be very rewarding. 3star rating.

I stayed at the Brunswick hotel and it was very nice! The staff were very helpful and kind and the hotel was of a very high standard in the reception and eating area! There was a few downsides making this not a 5 star unfortunately, the rooms were very outdated, no WiFi AT ALL in the rooms and there only being 1 double socket plug socket in our room, the water pressure was also practically non existent for the shower and the toilet (had to flush about 7 times).
Other then that the breakfast was amazing and the bar stayed open until a good time serving very good drinks! Overall I probably would stay here again for a weekend trip but definitely couldn't for more then 3 days unfortunately just due to the rooms being a bit outdated!

We stayed recently in the Brunswick hotel, we found a parking when we arrived and we did not use our car during our stay. We stayed one night with 2 kids. We liked: Our room was ready before 3pm the check in time, the receptionist was very helpful. The restaurant, we had a diner which was delicious and calm atmosphere, we had our small kids with us but it wasn't any trouble and we were welcomed as any other guest.
We used the swimming pool, it had to be booked and we were lucky to have a slot. It is a one hour slot, one hour on the dot the receptionist came to inform us that we had to leave, fair enough. Breakfast was good and good service apart of the price of a Cappuccino. 4! Even a 5* hotel doesn't charge that but it might be to facilitate the service. Negative: Our room was in the "Lodge", I didn't book the view on the sea.
The carpet was very dirty, I think the hoover is not powerful enough and it had a bad smell. I could smell it all the time. I didn't really like the bathroom either, the bathtub had better days. I saw some good comments about the rooms but I think it's about the sea view. The facilities are good but I didn't like the room. I stayed in many hotels and never saw a carpet as dirty. Hope you will change the carpet soon.
