Brunel Manor

Having moved out of Brunel Manor - our home for the last 58 years, we are actively seeking new premises where we will once again be able to welcome those seeking rest and restoration. God's house of prayer was his temple - his home on earth. When the book of Isaiah was written thousands of years ago there were strict rules about who could and couldn't worship God in his temple, but God promised a day when everyone would be welcome to come to his home to spend time with him.Christians believe that Jesus brought about that special day of welcome through his death and resurrection.

Woodlands House of Prayer is a Christian charity rooted in prayer, committed to helping those in need of rest and restoration find new strength and hope, through reconnecting with God, each other and nature. The Charity was founded in 1942 with the mission statement 'Given to Hospitality' Romans 12 v 13.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, the final authority in all belief and practice. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Although God, He became man, died for our sins, rose again, ascended into heaven and will one day personally return. We believe that God's power can be experienced in our lives today through the Holy Spirit.

In order for Woodlands House of Prayer to create good working and visiting environments for guests, visitors, volunteers and staff, we have a number of policies, some of which are published on this website. The board meet on a regular basis and review these policies annually. It may be necessary in line with Legal and Charitable directives, to change the policies more frequently. We will publish on our website when a change has occurred.
