All the Staff were lovely, especially the young girl on the front desk, so helpful, gave us plenty of info about the zoo and the local area. Breakfast was very good, tasty and plenty of it. We had the pool and leisure facilities to ourselves on wed morning and that was a bonus. We enjoyed so much we ended up staying an extra night. We will be back.some parts of the hotel need some slight attention, but it's so much better than some of the reviews state. We loved it

The staff was very friendly and polite, the only positive take away from the stay. The room keys didn't work 3-4 times during my 2 night stay. The corridor to my room from reception was spooky, there were leaks and the storage room doors creeks.! The food I had breakfast and dinner was below average and not in the level of a 4 star hotel. The only good thing is proximity of restaurant to a beautiful garden and for the breakfast I requested to sit in a window table and the guys refused saying its not set for one person, in a place where there is hardly anyone eating.!

On a walk up the nearby canal, decided to call to see if it was possible to pop in for a drink. Was initially told the bar and lounge area is for residents only, but once I clarified we wanted a mid-walk coffee the chap on the phone said it should be fine for us to pop in. Drink prices average with a coffee and diet coke costing 7. Lovely quiet lounge with garden views. We will make it a regular visit when walking in the area.

Thank you so much for the relaxing stay at your hotel. Fintan the manager was a fantastic host, he is a credit to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Restaurant food was delicious, plenty to choose from. The facilities. Gym and pool was just what I needed. Would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.

Attended an event not long ago at this venue, the location and building were very nice, clean and up-to-date decoration. Unfortunately the food was very slow to come out and it took almost 2 hours to have our meal as they were very understaffed and my daughter and I ended up sharing a meal as they missed off one of our orders. The staff were really nice and obviously under a lot of pressure to serve 144 people with just 3 of them.

Our stay was wonderful! After reading the reviews we weren't expecting an awful lot but I always like to make up my own mind. The staff were so very lovely and so helpful. The hotel is very clean and it's a lovely, relaxing environment. The gardens are beautiful and we were very pleased with our room. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Cold reception areas. Bedrooms too warm. Wallpaper and ceiling paper falling off. Shower was 2ft squared with broken shower head. Radiators were banging at 5am. See my review of restaurant for the fiasco there. Felt like Fawlty Towers, only not as good. This hotel is stuck back in 1950 and needs updating significantly. Not for me I'm afraid.

Hotel staff were brilliant, very polite & really welcoming. The Hotel itself was a little uncomfortable to be in though, the heating was on full in the room, some of the lights didn't work, the AC unit was loose in the ceiling, pretty sure that's a health & safety issue? The evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. The hotel could do with a serious amount of money spending on it to make it a better experience.
