This place is beautiful inside with great feature to look for. Also great for weedings. And is dog friendly. Offers a good selection of seating area also outside. The food is great, good quality & worth every penny. The staff was very attentive as well. always smiling, which is something I love and give value for that.

Having lost Count of how many visits I have enjoyed at the Briarfields in 26 year's. Me and My Lady returned on Mothering Sunday!. The Lady's first Visit She loved it and After a Gap since my last Visit very pleasing to meet up with Karl, and Many New Lady's and Gents including Phil, Grant & Lauren. The Level of Service Still Excellent, The Room was Spotless and the food fabulous. Thankyou Briarfields Team for an excellent stay.xx

Dropped in on this little gem whilst partaking in a 15 mile walk. Definitely recommend trying the Briarfields Gin, the views outside are phenomenal and watch for the kites circling round the area. The food smelled delicious and looked very appetizing, but we were on a walking mission that didn't allow time to enjoy. Great personal service, spotlessly clean. Recommended.

Excellent place to stay. If you want to relax in a quiet location, I'd definitely recommend the Briarfield. We stopped Sunday 23rd for 3 nights bed & breakfast although we ate in every night. The food was very nice & the staff were great. Very pleasant & accommodating. Everything about the hotel was great. From the room to the cosy snug with an open fire.
Comfortable sofa's & chairs to sit & drink wine & chill. There's also a nice outside seating area for when the weather is warmer & the best thing of all, it's very dog friendly. Thank you for a great stay. Would highly recommend.

Stayed at the Briarfields Hotel for 14 nights, and I can safely say it's one of my favourite hotels/B&Bs ever. Briarfields Hotel is an intimate B&B located just a 10-15 minute walk from Torquay seaside. Though we didn't have air condition in our room, and that's probably the only thing to note on the negative side (we did have a ceiling fan), the overall standard of the room is high, and I would say that you get good value for your money.
Quite spacious rooms, comfortable queen sized bed, nice, pleasant and clean over all, fridge (which is very positive, hate when you can't have chilled drinks due to the minibar/fridge being stuffed with the hotel's own stock) and a nice bathroom. The breakfast deserves a note of its own. It's absolutely fantastic. Homemade and freshly cooked, one can choose between a variety of different dishes on the menu.
I usually chose the full devon, which included eggs of your choice (I chose scrambled), sausage, beans, hash brown, tomatoes and toast. I highly recommend this place, and we're planning to come back next year.
