Nice spot with great views over the beach. The rooms are very spacious inside and clean. The exterior is slightly dated in places and the breakfast is not the best. However, the pros definitely outweigh the cons and it is a lovely spot for a seaside getaway in Cornwall. Don't forget to check out the spa!

Went for a birthday spa treat this weekend, great place, amazing views, food was delicious, spa treatments and spa facilities were good but. There were a few little things that could be improved. As you go through the hotel, they have fantastic artwork, it's like entering an art gallery however the names of the artists are just stuck on with blue tack.
It wouldn't take much to buy acrylic slides for the them to go in, just more professional. Also within the spa they have lockers, 1/10 might work, if you want to keep your personal belongings safe you have to take a chance that no one takes anything. A simple key, like in a swimming pool would do. Had a problem with all the bookings for the spa treatments as well, seems a little unorganised. The cocktail bar was also shut at 11? Why? Other than that the rooms and hotel are clean, staff are very friendly and approachable.

A great dog friendly hotel in beautiful Corwall. Fantastic views, stunning sunsets. Rooms were spacious and recently decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful although occasionally there seemed not to be enough staff in the restaurant. The quality of the food in the restaurant was good, although breakfast was a little limited even if you paid a supplement for a cooked breakfast. Overall, we had a great time, thank you for looking after us, we will be back.

Avoid avoid avoid the hotel! While spa and restaurant was lovely, we were due to spend night at hotel. For context this was our first break away from our new born in 6 months. We had the misfortunate on having neighbours in the hotel who were loud, swearing, playing music. Unfortuntately the hotel showed a lack of ability to handle. Alongside the fact you expect the rooms to be more soundproof, the staff response was- there were no other rooms, and to call back if it persisted.
Essentially avoiding making any action themselves. 20 mins later, and knowing we faced a hour drive to get home (and being two exhausted parents) we decided to give up and go home. As I said, spa and restaurant was good, but for the money we paid- the quality and experience of everything should be better at hotel, and they badly let down their customers on this occasion. For what they charge- they should be a little embarrassed.

Just back from a long weekend here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Overall we would rate our stay as excellent. We had a villa suite close to the indoor pool and spa. It had a great view of the cove and beach - which we accessed down a path next to the hotel. It was also warm and cosy for when the February weather closed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our spa and pool experiences.
The food in the cafe, restaurant and bar was so good we didn't feel the need to eat elsewhere. The staff in all areas were friendly and efficient. We would have appreciated a lift as an alternative to the several flights of stairs from the spa and villa level up to the dining and car park areas - but we are knocking on a bit! Family and dog friendly, highly recommended.

The hotel has a seaside appeal, overlooking the beach and nicely decorated, the food in the Herring restaurant is an experience to savour. We came with Secret Escapes deal and were a little taken aback to be charged for our food which was suppose to be part of the deal, several time during our stay we asked reception that this was the case before we went to eat! We didn't pay and when home contacted SE they also said we were on dinner bed and breakfast deal so we're right not to pay, they would contact hotel on our behalf.

The room was cosy and clean. The food in wild cafe was amazing. A staff member brought it out with pride, which he should, because it was delicious. Spa was so peaceful with a fabulous view. Linda who done my massage treatment was incredible and really cared about the experience she was giving. Learnt so much through consultation, lovely person, best massage I've ever had. Recommending this place to friends and family. Will return in summer. Its a place everyone must go! We feel zen, calm and batteries fully recharged, perfect!

Just had a lovely Anniversary & Birthday away at Bedruthan Hotel and we were both blown away with the friendly, attentive service! Lovely couple of meals enjoyed in the Herring restaurant and a fabulous breakfast too! Stunning views in the spacious room, the tranquility room was awesome too. A truly lovely experience. Family & dog friendly Hotel with something for everyone. Very easy for EV Car charging too! All staff made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!

Well where do I start. A comedy of errors from a 400 bill which wasn't ours then onto a lamb meal which was just chewy fat a power cut which I know can't be helped but the staff didn't have a clue how to deal with a spa that had shut down. Now onto a parking charge for 100 which keeps coming through! It was supposed to be a relaxing holiday but ended up more hassle than it was worth. Sorry for a bad review as I don't normally complain but this is bad service from a expensive hotel.

I would not describe this as a luxury couples get away. Hotel is very family/ children orientated which is fine if thats what you're looking for. At 200 per night we did not appreciate a 6 supplement for a cooked breakfast and were surprised to see dogs allowed in the Wild Cafe at breakfast. Food was good Staff were very friendly Room was clean but not serviced even though we were staying a second night so consequently had to track down staff for a few tea bags etc.

Every year my wife and I go to Cornwall 2 or 3 times and try different hotels in different areas. We cannot remember a better one than this and will certainly buck our routine and return. Our room had the best sea view we've ever had, the food is really good and the staff are amazing. I've just been to the spa and was so impressed with everything there, again with such friendly staff and can't remember ever having a better massage.

A very relaxing stay, beautiful views, amazing sunsets, absolutely gorgeous food! Very good value. Sadly the Spa area was closed (unfortunately had a burst pipe) - but the hotel willingly offered a discount. The pool was lovely, the room bright and very clean (little bit tired in some places around the hotel), the staff welcoming and friendly. Enjoyable stay - now gifting a stay as a treat! When you arrive don't 'judge a book by it's cover' - not the prettiest entrance to a hotel, but get's so much better once inside. Loved our break.

Staff were all lovely, and spa was nice (sauna broken). Avoid rooms at the front of the hotel (the website says garden facing, but a more accurate description would be car park facing) unless you don't mind being woken throughout the night, and then again at 6am by delivery drivers. Room 29 was the worst. We did complain about this (reluctantly), and were given a complimentary cream tea, but ultimately I just don't feel this room should be offered to guests as it's not possible to sleep in there.

We stayed here for 4 days for my birthday and loved it. Great views and close to the beach. I used to work here many years ago and i felt it was more up market then, however, it is more relaxed now and we enjoyed that. People with mobility issues may find it difficult with steps and slopes around the hotel.

From tonights experience - don't dine at #BedruthanHotel #Cornwall. Save your money. It was dire. I went for the Thai grn veg curry. The staff R inexperienced, young, sweet, informal, tattooed. "You okay buddy?" greeted my waiter. My dish had to be sent straight back as rice bowl steaming yet curry bowl stone cold. It returned minutes later, microwaved into oblivion the dish turned out to be utterly bland and utterly tasteless with now limp coconut shavings on the top.
Dish sent back yet again. The seater came to enquire what was wrong but his phone was ringing so he promptly ran away. I was offered to order other meals but on the basis of that one, I happily declined and finished my overpriced wine (I was not offered a wine list, ordered a glass that turned out to be 13. 13. Wow.), I left hungry. A totally wasted dining experience. Came home for doggy snuggles.
Just a HUGE crappy experience. Mawgan Porth is sublime but my experience tonight at this hotel was beyond ridiculous. Now I'm left in an area at 8:15pm with little to no choice of where and what to eat.

Quite simply the best holiday in Cornwall. You won't beat the location - nestled in the north coast cliffs between Padstow and Newquay, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The Spa is "second to none." The food is locally sourced and prepared to perfection. The service is amazing. The hotel is not only dog friendly but positively welcoming.

What a pleasure to have spent a week here on our 15th anniversary trip to Cornwall. Let me count the ways: 1) Amazingly friendly and attentive staff! Aside from your typical high quality boutique hotel customer service, they really went out of their way to assist with all of our needs, from getting us the correct postage for a postcard home, to finding us a breakfast table, even though we were late risers one morning and had only a 20-minute window of breakfast service left, and chatting us up when we asked them all the silly tourist questions about the area. 2) Delicious food!
Most of their food is locally sourced and you can tell by the freshness and flavor. From the fresh veggies, fish and meats, to the local ciders, and the desserts made using Cornish cream. The breakfast was a classic English breakfast, but the ingredients were so well- prepared and fresh, it was nothing ordinary to us. To any Americans who joke about English cooking: you've not eaten the right foods in the right places! 3) The decor!
I LOVE the colorful and whimsical interior design, from the Charley Harper artwork and fabrics to the playful pillow designs and stuffed clouds hanging from the lobby ceiling, there was inspiration everywhere. 4) The location and views! We had a sea view room and it was worth every penny of our upgrade. The rooms face west, which means sunsets over the ocean every single evening (accompanied by our friendly "pet" seagull who lobbied persistently but unsuccessfully just outside our window for a taste of our biscuits).
There is a lovely view of the beach and Mawgan Porth, and the Coastal Path as well. The dining rooms and bar also overlook the water, which means we didn't have to miss a moment of the beauty each night. 5) The spa-resort environment! We never made a reservation to enjoy the spa activities because we were so busy out and about sightseeing each day, but we did indulge in the locally made, all-natural spa-grade bath products included in our room.
The scents of the essential oils were fabulous and left our skin and hair refreshed. I was so sad when I ran out of the last little leftover bit I had brought home in my toiletries, so next time, I'll buy a regular sized bottle to bring back! 6) The gift shop! What beautiful items made by local artists and/ or reflecting the style of the hotel's decor.
It was the perfect place to pick up a little extra something to bring back to Mom (as well as for ourselves in a weak moment). If you subscribe to their newsletter, you will see all of the specials and holiday getaways they offer. Occasionally there are off-season workshops as well, in case you want to get in touch with your more creative side. Basically, the newsletters just keep me constantly wanting to buy a one-way ticket to the UK so my vacation would never end. Spend a weekend or spend a month, but you'll not regret your decision to stay at the Bedruthan!
