Huge scene but the bouncers and the partner Jayma are jerks at the door as they want to create a crowd inside so they make you stand outside creating a line. Meanwhile inside is empty. Food is ok at best, drinks are overpriced and mediocre at best. So many other better places then The Surf Lodge in Montauk.

The short black bouncer at the front on the night of 6/4/22 is extremely racist.towards black ppl, and ppl of color! He let in a group of white females. When my group approached, mixed with white and black he had us wait in line. He then continued to let multiple groups in (all white females) while our group was forced to wait, we left and went to Scarpetta beach - no wait awesome staff. That bouncer is a loser, this place is the highlight of his life.

A place with good vibes, good music, good atmosphere and definitely coming back next summer. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and prompt. The food is very fresh and made with quality ingredients. I highly recommended steak, burger and tuna tartar.

Aggressively received by the host at the entrance door with a total attitude and no customer service while we were joining friends at the restaurant. It is not the first time here but it is for sure the last one. A shame for the establishment. It is a very cheap image they are giving to be if they are incapable to stay polite with more then 20persons at their doors.

Great music programming. Super cosmopolitan ambiance. I've been coming to Surf for years now and this was the best visit I've had yet. We attended a special event and the owner was so hospitable to my party. Can't wait to return.

Cute place. Came for the live music. Very good vibes, we started the dancing. expensive drinks so be prepared. We didn't order food and probably wouldn't think to. Very cute would go back just for the vibes.

Before going there I saw all reviews on google and they very disappointing so was going to skip it but changed my mind and thought will give it a try.its again a place to check of bucket list and more for Instagram : yes the entrance host thinks as this place is gods gift to us we are like beneath them though it's us who pay for all of them! Not a inch of warmth or smile welcoming guest anyway had a booking so they can't refuse.the place is really nice to sit and watch sunset more like nikki beach type.as I am vegetarian food wise not much two main entrees but they had few appetizers.can't come for food as it is very okay and expensive not worth it.surprised to see wait staff wearing hat touching his hair removing hat putting back his hat and then serving us with Same hands YIKES! Was disgusting they should have some protocal specially in these times. So to end it yes fun place great vibe music dance and there are only few places in montauk so yes this place get s crowded.

Worse dining experience I've yet to experience in my entire life. A man was waving us in as if to park our selves so we did and then the valet decided to come out and yell at us for parking ourselves. Then when we wanted to leave the valet was nowhere to be found and parked our car so close to the other one that we couldn't get in. My friend was lucky enough to slide inside and once she was pulling out for the rest of us to get in the valet comes out of no where and yells at us once more.

Once we were seated, the nightmare only continued. We were practically on top of another family meanwhile hello, COVID is still out there, the menu had practically nothing to choose from and our server gave us our meals before our drinks. Will never ever come back here and will never recommend this place to any friends or family. Poor service period.

Staff is extremely rude and unaccommodating. Parking is far and inconvenient. They favoured other guests, even though we were in line, because a guest let the staff use their home parking. I found this extremely offensive as my mom and I have come to Montauk for the weekend for the first time. Awful, I will never come back.

It's a cool spot, nice views of the water and a very Instagramable vibe. The food was good, lobster roll was delicious, drinks were tasty. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive at the start of the meal but there was a stretch of about 10-15 minutes when we were out of water and couldn't find our waiter.
