Here at the Balmoral Lodge we have created the garden wing which contains our "exclusive" bedrooms.These are all beautifully furnished and equipped to the highest of standards. All of course contain the basic facilities of our smaller yet still luxurious room along with a fridge and your own French doors to your balcony, overlooking the landscaped garden.

Lovely old hotel. If you're looking for something modern this is not for you, but it's a wonderful quaint Northern hotel. Quiet street, so peaceful stay. Very friendly and clean. Super comfy bed and a nice big room. Very nice breakfast. For the smokers, a lovely little garden out back, you can watch the bees and the blackbirds. Would definitely consider this place should we visit again.

Negatives. Little dated, small TV in room, reception closed early. Positives, easy to find, 5 mins from front. Friendly staff, wi-fi was good, accommodated dogs (for a supplement), garden room with terrace into the gardens. 5 per head for a full English with Continental breakfast delivered to room (Dogs not allowed in restaurant for obvious reasons). Morrisons convenience store is a 5 to 10 minute walk (come out of the car park, turn left and it's on that road by the bend ahead). Full English was superb! Bath and hot shower was great. Would definitely recommend for dog owners.

I found the Balmoral Lodge Hotel by mistake and I was overwhelmed. The room was large and homely. The bed was very comfortable and there was a fridge with soft drinks and beer. The breakfast room looked into great garden which was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this Hotel to everyone who is spending time in Southport. 10 out of 10 and can't wait to get back to the Balmoral Lodge Hotel.

The place was so dirty I could write my name in the dust, so I did.the decor was so old and peeling.it felt dirty.they claim to be dog friendly, but they ate not allowed anywhere in the hotel. I asked fir decaffeinated tea for my room, I was told they didn't do it.there only saving grace was the breakfast.
